11 Best discount store in Detroit, Michigan (MI) 2024

I enjoy shopping at the store so much that I find myself in there twice a week. The staff is very courteous along with being knowledgeable and always willing to assess and that’s what I love about them, I’ve been in the store two times this week already and I’m waiting for it to open just today if you haven’t been to city Tran on 7990 West Outer Dr. may I please suggest you should go there you save money and you look real good in their clothes. This store is terrible. They are still keeping customers change. Are the staff pocketing it? The coin shortage scam has gone on to long. This store is dirty. It needs to be closed down. I walked in this place it smelled like dirty mop water. It's sad how they do the black community. I will never go back . ~ivan

Horrible store and customer service. Cashier literally was on a full blown speaker phone personal conversation while ringing up customers. So rude. Sad and embarrassing. Needs to be closed down. Need WORKERS that don't have a attitude when they come to work. This store need to close for good. It's nasty, dirty and everything on the floor. When you walk in the store it smell like weed. You can't get no cart down the aisles. Manager mad because item prices was marked wrong. JUST CLOSE THE STORE! ~Raine

There prices have all gone up and NONE up the 3 stores I frequent have & probably never will change ~JOY

We don't load cash app, have no helium for balloons. And don't offer cash back. Our prices change alot so if ur not sure the price ask for a price check😊 also please esact change or card only and please please don't try to break a 100 when we just opened we don't have it thank u ~Patience

It’s a manager that disrespectful and can’t talk right to people. This store needs to close. I have call corporate and no answer. This lady wouldn’t give me her name. She have disrespect my mother and auntie. She tried to fight my mother because she ask her to look at the sign that says half off on the shirts. She didn’t want to do her job at all. She came to work to fight. Now if she had hit my mother it would had been a problem. She called the police but they look and see that this woman was in the wrong. She need to be fired. If nothing happens I’ll be getting a lawyer on this. Stop hiring crazy people that can’t take care of y’all business. Plus the store is nasty. Never stuff on the shelf. The store needs a makeover. Some areas of the store is neat and organized; other areas needs improvement. The cashiers and other staff greet you as soon as you enter the store. I enjoy the friendliness. ~Wanda

Family Dollar's Customer Service is OUTSTANDING!!! Employees are friendly, genuine, helpful, kind, and quick!! WOW!! You Guys ROCK and totally made my day! I was in and out of your store in less than 5 minutes!!! OUTSTANDING!! They always have great sales and enough stock to cover the demand. I love the fact that this store is so well maintained also. I am a local resident of this Family Dollar store on 6 mile and Greenlawn Street in Detroit MI. I am leaving this review because this location is poorly managed. It is absolutely filthy and completely unorganized. This is the poorest representation of the family dollar business brand and requires immediate attention. I will never shop at this location again unless addressed. Prices are labeled incorrect, they never have what you are shopping for, I'm tripping over boxes, slipping on spills that have not been mopped up yet and the entrance has been under construction for 6months now. This is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. If these things were to be addressed and prominent people in the neighborhood would return to shopping at this location. ~ItzOfficialNaEntertainment
