Stumbled upon this place on our back to Chicago from North Shore drive. Really disappointed to see that everything was so overpriced, compared to other Goodwills Ive been to. Even the ones in Chicago are way cheaper. Also they seems to be not connected to other Goodwills, as they donot take phone numbers. ~Ajimon

The only place in northern Minnesota for upholstering. Just picked up our two prized footstools and were totally happy with the high quality reupholstering work by Jim. We absolutely loved them and highly recommend J. Carlson Upholstery! Thank you Jim! ~Michael

I rented a U haul car tow dolly for 1 day to move a vehicle in town. Returned it on a Saturday afternoon after the store had closed, less than a day from rental previous day. Checking my credit card balance a few days later I was shocked to see an additional 2 weeks of rental charges had been posted, nearly $800 extra. I went into the store and confronted the manager (Mike) that had originally rented me the tow dolly, he told me to leave and deal with U haul. U haul refunded the money after a few phone calls explaining the situation and sending a phone photo with date and time stamp of unhitched dolly in store parking lot. This place is a dishonest overpriced rat hole of a business, your credit card info is not safe here. There are plenty of other ethical businesses to buy furniture or rent U haul equipment. Will never visit this store again. ~Farnham

I stop there almost every week day and have a great experience with the staff and the snacks. I've always had good luck with fuel there and they have a pretty good variety of hot snacks. The cookies are awesome the filled doughnuts are hit and miss. The coffee is excellent! I had one issue with the car wash and it was taken care of. I received a voucher to use after it got fixed. The car wash goes through corporate and takes some time to get fixed. ~Joshua

We came in with a large ask….we wanted to upgrade our kids’ phones with our phones (still under a payment plan) and get my partner and I new phones. Shania was amazingly patient with this task. She even stayed past her clock out time to ensure we completed the task. Many hurdles came up, but Shania diligently solved every issue! ~Leanaya

It’s gotten less inviting and their prices are very expensive and over the top. They try to use their rewards program to make it seem like youre getting something in exchange but it doesn’t even out at all. Plus their clerks run the gamut of really unpleasant to friendly and nice but lately it’s usually cranky and impatient. ~Angela

Consistently exceptional customer service. Their Fraud Detection card services are outstanding! I was notified immediately when my card was hacked with a $530.26 attempted charge. They flagged it and contacted me immediately to verify. I was able to have my debit card cancelled without any fraudulent charges to me. Best part? I was able to go right in and obtain a brand new debit card in a matter of minutes!! Such peace of mind. The team is wonderful. I will never change credit unions. ~Teri

The guy there was AWESOME! I thought my son's phone stopped working and I was going to buy a new phone....he took the time to show me what was wrong with it, FIX it, and send me on my way without a sale for him. That shows they definitely care about customers and not all about money. I will definitely go back there if I need help in the future. ~Jennifer
