50+ years ago a guy founded this restaurant. It has won numerous awards and ratings. But what matters to you is whether the food is good now. My experience was yes, the food is good now. The customer sitting near me was a weekly, long-time regular and a Nihonjin, so we can assume he agrees that the food is good--and authentic. The service staff was, to a person, very friendly and attentive. ~Todd
