I recently bought a 2011 BMW from Shari at Richardson's Auto Sales. After test driving the car with no issues and deciding to purchase it I went to the bank to take out the money while she brought the car to get an inspection sticker. After signing the paperwork and starting the vehicle I noticed the check engine light was on. I got Sherry and she brought out a code scanner to see what was going on. After seeing that the codes were timing related I told her that I would not be driving the vehicle and she was immediately apologetic and offered to bring the car to her mechanic the next morning at no cost to me. I thanked her and after her mechanic could not diagnose the issue she had it brought to the dealership for further diagnostic testing. Once the problem was discovered she had the car towed back to her mechanic to complete the work which involved disassembly of the valve cover and replacement of the offending parts. Although the process took almost a week to get the car fixed, she covered the cost of the repair 100% and ensured that the vehicle was entirely good to go before I went back to pick it up. I was very pleased with her service and willingness to remedy the situation with no argument or issues. I understand that when buying a used vehicle sometimes things go wrong at unfortunate times, I have no doubt that's what happened here.
