TD Bank accounts don’t seem to be friendly for international travelers. My family and I have been customers of TD since it changed over from Commerce Bank.
I was traveling overseas and couldn’t log into my TD Checking Account on the website or through the phone app because I needed a text code verification. Since I was abroad, I couldn’t get a text code, as my US# didn’t work. Called TD customer center and they said I needed to call my home branch to change my phone number. Next I called this branch, my home branch and talked to a rep about my situation and eventually talked to the manager. The manager said there was nothing they could do to help and I had to call the TD customer center back. She told me the only way to change my phone number on my account was to either come into this branch, or change it in my account online. My issue was that I couldn’t get into my online account… ~Jay
