I ordered a leafy green salad, a couple cold side salads, and several subs via UberEats.
Subs delicious and fresh, no complaints. Unfortunately, I was charged double for the salad but didn’t receive the two meals I paid for.
Also, the store called me after my order was placed through UberEats to let me know one of my cold salads were sold out, so he convinced me to replace with another item than to cancel my order. Which was fine.
Next, he asked me about my salad order. I told him the app required me to picks 6 items in order to place my order. My $11.99 salad became $22. So the owner acknowledges the app was glitchy. They could had given me a larger salad portion, another food replacement to make up the difference, or refund me the cash in the delivery bags . He did neither, thinking I would be passive so he could pocket the profit.
Once the food was delivered, I called the owner of the store to see if he could issue a refund for the extra salad he charged me for or willing to deliver the second salad. He felt my location was too far for delivering my missing order, not because no one was available to deliver. No refund and no good replacement.
Overall- distasteful business practice. ~Lina
