Best convenience store in Manchester, New Jersey (NJ) 2024

My husband and I shop at this CVS all the time and always encounter the most friendly, helpful associates. We stopped in on 7/3/22 around 8:20 on our way to see fireworks as happy as could be only to encounter a new employee who had zero customer service skills. As soon as we walked in, we overheard her speaking in a disrespectful, annoyed tone to her manager. Then when we walked up to the register, she said, “One minute. I’m in the middle of a transaction! The lady had to run to her car!” So we waited patiently. She started arguing with the lady when she came back in to pay. Luckily the manager took over and then helped us. As we turned to walk out she walked right in front of my husband and said EXCUSE ME as if he walked into her. I hope they don’t keep her as an employee. ~Beth

Usually have a good experience here. But more often lately, employees have a bad attitude. Today, woman making sandwiches was clearly not happy about "her break" and was whining to herself and slamming things / doors. Then she made my sandwich. Slams it down on the counter, then is arguing with colleagues while customers stand around. Really didn't want someone angry making my food. Not wanting to come back to a place where employees act like children. Picked up my sandwich at 11:00a on Monday 6/20. ~CJ
