Best convenience store in Maplewood, New Jersey (NJ) 2024

This location is supposed to be 24-hours — it’s clearly indicated on Google maps, other places on the web, and the store’s signage. However, when I stopped here on Sunday, June 12 at 3:17 AM, the place looked open, was brightly lit, had two employees that I could see, but the door was locked. They saw me and used hand signals to indicate they were closed (hand across the throat). I waited in the parking lot and after a bit, a Newark police officer came and was let in. Not closed, just closed for ordinary citizens. ~JP

Came in to get some snacks but honestly it felt sparse and I felt like the worker was watching me which was so weird. It made me feel rather uncomfortable to the point where I simply decided to leave and crossed over to the dollar tree to get a drink and some candy and snacks. The place also didn't look so clean or maybe it's the whole store that just looks sad. ~jaq
