6 Best beauty salon in Rio Rancho, New Mexico (NM) 2024

Booked a online appointment to have my hair colored this morning on short notice. I tried to call to get an estimate of how much the service was going to cost ten minutes after the store opened to have the phone ring and ring. Forty five minutes before my appointment Betty calls me to ask if she could move my appointment because they were very busy today. To get to the point she was VERY RUDE and SHORT. I asked her for a guesstimate and she asked me to explain what i needed over the phone and if i couldnt then to come in and have her check it out. Basically she was booked and didnt want my business. If not that is the way she made me feel. Also, if they were so booked this morning why was i able to make an online appointment? Complete waste of my morning. I was willing to spend a hundred and fifty dollars on this service and always tip. I will never try this place and will tell other people not to as well. ~Vanessa

If you're on a tight budget and not looking for a high fashion cut, Super Cuts is more than sufficient. The employees at this location are almost always very friendly and enthusiastic. They're engaged when I bring style/cut suggestions, and I never feel uncomfortable or pressured to keep up conversation. Not every cut I've gotten was perfect, but the great thing about hair is that it grows out again. And at those prices, I can try again for a better cut in no time! Honestly, all of my experiences there were comparable to other, more expensive salons, just without the extra costs and stuffy attitude. ~Meghan

Don't bother making an on-line appointment and being sure to arrive on time. They do not honor the appointments. When I arrived there was no one waiting. I gave them my name and the staff member checked off my appointment. About 3 minutes later another fellow walked in. A different staff member asked if he had an appointment and I distinctly heard him say "No, I just walked in". The next thing I know they call his name and direct him to a chair. Meanwhile, I am still sitting there. So I said to yet another staff member "What? You do not honor your appointments? She replied that "The computer had him next in line." and "That he had an appointment", which was clearly an outright lie! So forget that I had an appointment... say I was just a walk in. Standard practice is to take clients on a first come, first served basis. Apparently, the Great Clips Computer is not familiar with that concept. Sure, someone screwed up. No big deal... until you start lying to me. That's when I walk - and never come back. I went to a nearby local barber, which is where I should have gone in the first place! And that is where I will go in the future, because he knows the meaning of FCFS. ~Jim

I've been a customer of Martha's for many years. She's super talented with my curly hair and NEVER cuts it too short (trust me, I've had other stylists make a MESS). She knows color very well, and is careful with the chemicals for excellent results. Her new shop is very clean and safe. My haircut this week was a life-changer! ~Deborah

Although they moved location... for the first time I went to see Evelyn today to do my hair. I have been stuck in a hair rut and needed a change! Evelyn made me feel very comfortable. She listened to all of my concerns. I pretty much was asking for her opinion (to create a miracle) because I wasn't even sure what I wanted. She gave me her insight on color/highlights and hooked me up with a new hairstyle. She is a natural. You can tell she has an eye for style. ~Leslie

Love Hair Creations!! Ever since I found Ivonne at this salon she has been the best hairstylist I have had in all my experiences with so many different hairstylist.. She pays attention to detail and gives you her quality time every time she cuts your hair.. I always look forward to getting my next style/ cut from her.. She is AWESOME!! 👌 ~Monique
