After all these years I realized today that I hadn’t reviewed my favorite art gallery in the Banner Elk area. Art Cellar is one of a kind. This gallery has some truly amazing art pieces year after year. From glass art or pottery to truly beautiful paintings. They also do great framing. Throughout the years we have purchase art /sculptures as well as have had paintings framed here. Staff is always attentive and helpful. One of my favorite places to drop in and browse. ~RobertsMom

The Kangaroo in Banner Elk, NC is a top notch Gas station, we always stop here while touring the Blue Ridge Parkway. The service is amazing, it will be extra special if your clerk is Mr. Ramsey. Also don't forget to ask about the possum stew or the pickled hog head they steam all at their store. This gas station has made it on several TV shows from History Channel, Travel Channel, major news outlets like CNN and Fox News, Food Network, not to mention many more. Plus you just might met someone famous seeing that Banner Elk is know as the Hollywood of the Carolinas! If your within 100 miles of the location it is a must to go see for yourself ~Logan

We are new renters and I cannot say enough how enjoyable my first experience has been. Kathy was on time, efficient, and even went above expectations to help me out. The facility itself is perfectly laid out with multiple ways to position trucks and enter doors to get you as close to your unit as possible. And it is clean! ~jeff

This was my first visit to Bodega kitchen. The smell when you walk in is divine. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Service was friendly but very slow. Lunch took about an hour. We sat for about 20 minutes before our order was taken. The server did apologize and comped our black bean soup. We also had the vegetable bowl and southwest salad with grilled shrimp. All of the food was delicious. The black bean soup was a generous portion and very good! Both of our main meals were enough food but seemed a small portion for the price. My husband got the beer on tap and he really enjoyed it. With tip our bill was a little over $50. One other little thing is that they use these small glasses for water. Overall will visit again because I hope the slow service was an anomaly. ~April

Hands down this is the most professional and caring animal clinic I've had the pleasure of serving my pets. Dr. Knowles has helped our family with the care of our Saint Bernard (McKinley) as well as our older golden retriever (Jasper). We trusted Dr. Knowles to make sound decisions regarding their health, as well as with the tough decision when to let them go. Dr. Knowles is knowledgeable and always has your pet's best interest in mind. Jo at the front desk is exceptional and friendly. She is a true asset to this clinic. I ordered 10 wings and fries, the order was $27.88!!! I've literally never paid $19 for 10 wings, it's incredibly expensive and not tasty enough to justify the price. The wings weren't bad, they were just boring, and nothing special. The fries were a tiny serving size for $6 and tasted like cold mcdonald's fries. I would not recommend eating here. ~Kate

My husband and I recently replaced our old carpet with laminate waterproof hardwood. It looks amazing! Since our mountain home is our second home, we were not on site when the removal of the old and the installation of the new was done. We are impressed with how the installer worked around our fireplace. I wish I could give New Lifestyles Carpet One ten stars! We will definitely be repeat customers. ~Trish
