Best bar in Banner Elk, North Carolina (NC) 2024

This was my first visit to Bodega kitchen. The smell when you walk in is divine. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Service was friendly but very slow. Lunch took about an hour. We sat for about 20 minutes before our order was taken. The server did apologize and comped our black bean soup. We also had the vegetable bowl and southwest salad with grilled shrimp. All of the food was delicious. The black bean soup was a generous portion and very good! Both of our main meals were enough food but seemed a small portion for the price. My husband got the beer on tap and he really enjoyed it. With tip our bill was a little over $50. One other little thing is that they use these small glasses for water. Overall will visit again because I hope the slow service was an anomaly. ~April

I ordered 10 wings and fries, the order was $27.88!!! I've literally never paid $19 for 10 wings, it's incredibly expensive and not tasty enough to justify the price. The wings weren't bad, they were just boring, and nothing special. The fries were a tiny serving size for $6 and tasted like cold mcdonald's fries. I would not recommend eating here. ~Kate
