First and last time using a CVS Minute Clinic. Had a TB skin test placed and returned today for the reading. As I approached the kiosk the NP exits the exam room, makes eye contact, but makes no attempt to welcome me, ask if I need any assistance, etc. He instead just turns his head and keeps walking. I register for my TB test reading and I'm informed I'll have an hour and thirty minute wait. I stick around and watch the NP walk around the store, etc. No patient being seen. About 15 minutes later I saw him again and asked if I could get my test read. He informed me I needed to sign in and I reminded him that I was. He then said I'd have to wait my turn. Again, exam room door open and no patient being seen. As a Nurse Practitioner myself, and one that worked in retail health care x 5 years in the past, I'm fully aware of the process and the five minutes it takes to complete this task. I then set my timer on my phone and 8 minutes passed before he actually saw a patient. Once he did see a patient and she left, another 12 minutes passed before he saw another. Plenty of time to provide my service and get me in my way. That's what I always did and would had done. When Adam the NP did call me for my "turn", he then had no reservation letting me know that he was put off because I didn't have the original paperwork with me from two days prior. It's not necessary for the patient to bring this in as they obviously have it on file. He implied I needed it and I reminded him that he could simply pull up my record and print it out if he did in fact need it. He then informed me that "he was hoping to not have to do any extra work". I then informed him that I was sorry to inconvenience him, but it is what it is. Again, I'll never be back. There are cheaper places to actually schedule a TB skin test and the total cost is only $30 (most commercial insurance plans will not cover). You may have to drive a little, but I still believe one would save time in the long run and also receive better customer service. ~Dave
