Best car wash in Portland, Oregon (OR) 2024

I only go here for the self service car wash or the in bay automatic. It's a bit ridiculous to have the minimum charge for cards in the self service bay at $10, especially if you only planned on just spraying all the de icer and dirt off your car. But, it's fine. There are other better self service washes in Portland. The one near 162nd and Stark by Dutch Bros just got remodeled and actually has a smart card reader - you get to pick the time and how much you pay! The in bay automatic car wash is decent for the price, but still feels like a ripoff. The chemicals don't seem to be metered correctly or there's some weird design flaw, because when the dryer is active, the "spot free" streaks like crazy. And on the touch free only cycle, all the soap remains on the dryer gantry, and then gets blown onto your car on the final dry. I don't recommend it at all. Just go to Washman. ~Solomon

I’ve had many cars detailed at many shops over the years, some charging as much as $1K for a full interior/exterior detail. Ryan and the crew at Westside performed the most impressive detail I’ve ever had and are priced incredibly reasonably for the quality of work. My X5 was very dirty and covered in dog hair from my two monsters. When I got it back I couldn’t find a single hair inside (a notoriously difficult feat) and even the wheel wells were so clean you could eat out of them. The car literally looked better than the day I got it new off the lot. Just bring your car here, you’ll be glad you did. ~Scott

1st time at this car wash. I appreciated the great water pressure along with the rinse, soap and brush cycles. Vacuum was quite powerful and no issues getting up the dirt. The exterior was VERY dirty and the interior carpet soiled from my 1,000 mile drive from California. After the wash, there is not much room to park to dry the vehicle. Perhaps it's okay to dry in the bay?, but I wanted to be respective of others that may have been in line. This will be my new go-to wash when I want to a do-it-yourself. Doesn't hurt that it's next door to a Popeye's chicken! ~Dale

Took my oversized pickup in. There was no line that should of been warning. I got a fast half washed truck.they did the sides never touched the top sides. Half of a hood. Then didn't rinse off the soap they got on it. Never coming back here. ~Curt
