Black's Tire & Auto Service

I am genuinely upset. Ive brought my car here 4 times for the same problem in hopes of them fixing it the 1st time. I got a new waterpump, radiator, thermostat, and alternator just for my car to still continue to overheat. Over 1000$ spent for nth to be changed. The worse part is they told me “yeah the waterpump is the problem” I get that fixed then its leaking so I bring it back and then its “oh the radiator and alternator need changed” after being told from the 1st time those were “in perfect condition” after i get those 2 fixed starts to over heat again. ~Itz

C&S Auto Repair

So I am unsure as to why we did not have a great experience as everyone else who left reviews did, but unfortunately that is just the way it worked. I purchased a used vehicle that I brought to C&S to have checked and make some repairs. Everyone was super friendly, hence the two star and seemed very knowledgeable so I felt good with leaving my vehicle with them. One important thing that needed to be fixed was my air conditioning, as it was blowing hot air. They never actually called me to say when my vehicle was done, which left me calling for constant updates on what was going on and when it would be done. I expressed this frustration to them and they recommended I make an appointment next time. Cool, I can totally do that, and I did because after I brought my vehicle home, my air conditioning was not fixed, so when I called them I explained the situation and asked to schedule an appointment to have it fixed so I could get it back in a timely manner, as this is my primary vehicle for work. I was scheduled on a Wednesday but my car was not taken back until Thursday and I was never notified. I understand things come up, but notify the customer so they are aware of what's happening. I paid well over $800 (plus more for a rental because they had my vehicle for almost a week, which was not addressed or agreed upon beforehand) and Matt swore up and down that the air was blowing cold. I picked the car up, and within 48 hours, it was blowing hot again. I called and explained this, set another appointment to have it addressed and the shop contacted me the day before my appointment to cancel and stated they could not take my car due to Matt having health issues and I was never able to get it readdressed. Matt contacted my husband via phone to apologize and informed him that if we took the car to another mechanic and it was determined that Matt had done something incorrect, Matt would refund us for the inconvenience. So we took the vehicle to another mechanic and had them write out what they found regarding the issues and it was determined that the majority of the issues I was having, Matt messed up. After the new mechanic fixed the issue, he gave us his findings and the old part. So my husband took that written information as well as the old part back to C&S because again, Matt said he would refund us. After my husband got there, long story short, Matt argued as to why it was not his fault and refused to refund us. I understand you take a risk when you take your car to a mechanic, however if that person states they will refund you to make things right, they need to uphold that. If he was not going to do that, he should have never said anything. It was very clear that he was not knowledgeable enough about the air conditioning system in my car to fix the issue and charged me over $800, which I would define as a scam, but I hope that I am the last person to experience something like this from them. Needless to say, we will not be bringing our vehicles back to this shop or recommending them. Service: General repairs & maintenance ~Ashley
