Best moving company in Corpus Christi, Texas (TX) 2024

I've moved a number of times, and let's be honest, it usually sucks really bad. I did some research online for the best long-distance movers and decided to check these guys out. Mr. Smith was great to work with, and even came out to my house a second time to do another walk through after I sent some of my belongings ahead just to ensure he was giving me a good estimate. Mr. Smith was responsive in returning calls and emails. Overall I was very satisfied with the process on that end. Now the movers... So, it was hot and it was in Corpus Christi in May, so although they took a bit longer than I would have liked to pack, they did a good job and didn't mess up my stuff and I understand the weather definitely makes moving a lot harder sometimes. They made it to my new house a lot faster than I expected as well! So that was very good to see. Normally it seems like it takes a couple of weeks to receive the drop off. What I would say is that the job probably would have been easier on the movers if they had 3 people, instead of just 2. My move was not huge by any means, but in terms of time, another guy would have made a huge difference in loading. I would definitely recommend these guys. ~Nicholas

The only reason I gave them one star was because zero stars were an option. When contacted, they said they could have it packed and loaded on Friday and to Kansas by Sunday. When told they would need a larger truck than what they said they could bring, they showed up with the smaller truck. Next they said they would be back to finish the packing job at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning. They didn't show up til 12:30, and STILL didn't finish the packing. They did not finish packing until Wednesday morning with one poor hardworking soul, doing all of the loading while another sat in the truck. They said they would be in Wichita at 1:30 a.m. then sent a text they stayed the night in Oklahoma City, along with trying to have us wire them money because they only had "a quarter of a tank of gas." They said they would arrive in Wichita at 11 a.m. to which they didn't show up until 1:30. Before they were even done unloading the truck, they were asking for the rest of the payment installment, to which we refused to pay full price. At that point, they tried to reload stuff to take back to Texas. Only cooler heads prevailed and they discounted a slim $300 from the finished price. I would not recommend them to anyone wanting to move things. ~Rusty

Their rep came out, tried to email me quote woth no success. Guess he gave up after several calls advising I never got quote. They gave uo so had to use a different company for move. ~Leo

Frank has been nothing short of amazing in communication and detailing all costs to be expected. Used them this weekend to move from a 3 bedroom apartment to a home. Three movers showed up and a mid sized truck. I was worried we wouldn’t be able to get it all done quickly but I shouldn’t have been. They were fast, careful with my items, affordable and honest. I would definitely call on them again. They moved me in 3 hours for a little under $900. Saved me a headache and back pain. I may have been stressed out for nothing. I do recommend paying cash as there is a surcharge for debit or credit payments. They also promptly found and returned my lamp tables’ glass that accidentally stayed in the moving truck.
