Best bar and grill in Galveston, Texas (TX) 2024

We had a nice dinner with the at the West End Martina in early May of 2022. As the downstairs eating area was closed (make sure to check their timetable) we were up on a balcony on the second floor enjoying the ambiance of marina life with some light country tunes from the bar. The waiter was real pleasant and easy to chat with. Beer selection is great - make sure to try Tiki Wheat - a great local Galveston beer. As for food - I did not have high expectations and was not surprised that the food was not anything to write home about (I had a burger). But as I said, the ambiance here matters and we definitely had a fun night here. ~Stefan

Had a beautiful Thursday, to go grab happy hour. We tried tipsy turtle. Parking can be an issue during peak times. Also our beers were in can that weren't very cold. They were just icing everything down when we arrived. There is no indoor seating. It is a do it yourself set up. If you want fast service sit at the bar. The Gulf Front view is beautiful and the angle in which the building is located you get an entire panorama of the Gulf. This is a daytripper, vacation type of stop, as you can drive there or walk up from the beach. If you forgot something for the beach they have a small store see picture for ideas. Kid-friendliness: Picnic tables and a large menu make feeding the kids easy. You can place an order while they play on the beach. Parking: Parking is mostly taken by daytrip, beach goers, so pick an off peak time if you can't walk there ~CJ
