El Agave

I’ve passed this place a bazillion times and just thought it was a small town, average Mexican food place. I was wrong. It’s very good Tex-Mex with great margaritas and a decent beer menu. Service was fast and friendly and no wait. ~Julie

KK Sweets

Kelsey made an amazing cake for my daughter’s second birthday. She was responsive and easy to work with during the ordering process. The cake was fun, beautifully decorated and honestly one of the most delicious cakes I’ve tasted. My guests went crazy for it! We’ll definitely be in touch when it’s time for our next party. Thanks Kelsey! ~Lisa

JC Liquors

Great place, selection, and prices. Cigarettes are pretty high, but is expected at a local store. Plus they have a drive thru which is pretty cool. Friendly informative family owned business. Clean and laid back atmosphere. ~Christine

Stidham Saddlery

Amazing Store in the Hill Country! I'm biased though...I own it. Reasons YOU should visit: 1) We're located in the Presidential Hometown of Johnson City and there's plenty of cute surrounding shops, great restaurants & comfortable b&b's. 2) Our shop rocks! We work really hard at finding unique apparel for men & women, handmade gifts & custom leather goods. 3) Maker, Seth Stidham hand builds custom leather goods and specializes in traditional western style tooling. He's a big deal, but sure doesn't act like it. Stop in and check out his workshop! 4) We have AMAZING staff. They are incredibly kind, helpful and full of great recommendations for the surrounding area, from hiking to wineing. We can help! 5) Our shop is decorated with antique decor, style that rivals Anthropologie and a wink of western. We hope it's a fun and inspiring place to shop. 6) We have complimentary wine on the weekend and we're dog friendly. Our shop dog Pearl is occasionally onsite and loves to visit with customers. 7) I'm sure the list goes on but I got sidetracked with wine...see you soon, cheers! ~Jasmin

Johnson City Bank

-James Polk Johnson Building- Built by Johnson City founder James Polk Johnson (1845-1885), this structure has housed a variety of businesses and served as a community gathering place. In addition to serving as a community hall, opera house, and meeting place for churches and community groups, the structure was occupied by such commercial enterprises as banks, general stores, hotels, restaurants, and business offices. When the Blanco County seat moved to Johnson City in 1890 this building became a temporary county courthouse and jail. Former president Lyndon Johnson maintained an office here for a short time.
