Came across this place last Saturday and I will recommend it to EVERYBODY always and forever! This is exactly the kind of beer joint so many of us are looking for in the back country. Super awesome owners, unexpectedly large selection of beer, and a one off unique experience that makes it worthy of being a destination. Not just a convenient place to have a beer if you also happen to be going to the state park right there. This place is an instant Hill Country Classic!

Stopped in for a cold drink while on a motorcycle ride through the area. The owners were just amazing. Friendly, funny, and full of welcoming conversation. Cold beer (and other drinks-boozy and not,) snacks, pulled pork, nachos, Frito pie. The whole experience was one which made us wish we were from the area and could stop in any time. Worth a drive out there, and for sure a stop on the way out of Pedernales State Park.

Great stop for local friendly conversation. Get supplies before hiking at the state park, and refreshing drinks after hiking. David is a great host. Didn't get to see live music, but sounds like he had a great line up of music.

The place was closed when I got there, so I could only peek in and see what looked like an ideal bar— cozy without kitsch, warm without shmaltz, quality without pretention... a genuinely good place with genuinely good people that understand the art of hanging out. It was after hours by an hour or 2 when I got there, but I saw the lights on so I made a last-ditch attempt for help after failing to locate friends at the nearby park— it was dark, I had no cell reception, I was running on fumes, and there wasn't a gas station in sight. Though the store was closed, there were a handful of friends/owners hanging about and without hesitation offered to lead me, a total stranger, to the nearest gas station to make sure I didn't run out of gas along the way. To them it seemed like an effortless gesture but to me it was a lifesaver and act of kindness l won't forget. Love this place. Will be back, next time intentionally

What an amazing find for us last week. We took the family on a hike at Perdenales Falls State Park and found this quaint little spot to stop and refresh ourselves. The kids had a blast and the hubby and I want to come back for some adult beverages. What a nice spot!
