6 Best grocery store in McKinney, Texas (TX) 2024

Decent Wal-Mart in a convenient location. My main complaint is the parking lot is not really designed for trucks. The parking spaces set on the small side, even the ones far from the front door. Now the inside of the store was clean and the employees I encountered were smiling and seemed eager to help. ~Chris

Every week we shop here for our local laundromat and the staff is incredibly helpful and polite. The store is well maintained and Susie is great to work with! We’ll definitely be back! ~Coin

Placed an order for pickup at this Tom Thumb location. When a substitution was found for an item out of stock I received a text message with a photo asking me if the substitution was acceptable. Kroger only shows substitutions if you download their app. (Hint to Kroger: forcing customers to download your app is not going to make them more likely to shop with you.) I also received a text notification when my order was ready for pickup. It stated I could pick up the order any time before 8. I got there at 7 and dialed the number per instructions on the pickup lane. No one answered. I called again. No one answered. There was no option to leave a message or be transferred to the customer service desk. I decided to check in via email. A few minutes later I received a call asking if I was in the lot ready for pickup. A young man, I believe his name was Alan, brought my order to me despite not being in the pickup department. He apologized for the delay and explained the employee had left a couple hours before. Perhaps that employee grew ill and had to leave early? Perhaps the template text message reply needs to remove the text about anytime before 8? Either way, Alan is the reason I selected 5 stars. ~B

This grocery store is great! They have everything, fresh baked goods, hot food, cold food, birthday cakes, elites, check cashing, boba tea, and a butchery!! I bought their store brand tortillas and LOVED them! I also bought salsa which was authentic. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the store. It’s not super dirty but I think it could be better. However I would still shop here especially for the tortillas and bread! ~Ashley

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, friendly people! Patina Green holds a special place in my heart! The Hickory Smoked Ham, Smoked Cheddar, Jalapeno Peach Jelly, Jalapeno Cheddar Sourdough sandwich is a little peace of heaven! If I had to pick a sandwich to eat for the rest of my life this is it! I like to describe it as a “ sweet, sassy, delicious, sandwich with an attitude!” Lol Simply, delicious! Chef’s kiss! ~Genesis
