Salado Winery and Salado Wine Seller

They were amazing! And a great place to sample some fine wine of the vineyards from their on back yard and temple grown grapes. The staff and owner were very pleasant, kind and courteous and they made you feel right at home. I must say the bathroom was very nice, tight and clean. So it made me feel confident in their ability to adapt to Covid rules and regulations. I spent about $200 and it was totally worth it! My mom enjoy her vacation and visit and I left with 4 bottle of great wine selections, 1 huge bottle of cider, a mask, a magnet, 4 coasters and 2 wine purchase tastings. Overall it was a great experience. I am sad as I wasn't able to find my electric bottle opener here that I purchased back in 2012. But the owner did recall and said they rotate a lot of their items. I think this is one item worth keeping because it was awesome little tool. I'm not sure if this matters or not to anyone but I always like to mention whether they have military discounts or not. And I am sad to say they do not. ~Jessica

The Barton House

Valentine’s Day date, building itself exuded eclectic, inviting and not so hidden gem. Ambiance was appropriate and decor suited the historic building by giving it some character sf color . Staff were awesome, friendly and engaging. Food was good, pretty tasty. Nice to have such caliber of restaurant in Village of Salado however makes sense if patrons visit from other cities and towns as it would be forth a trip. We had beef bruss…seared pork chops, lobster. Food turned out good. Recommended! ~BARRY

JASH Road Service 24 Hour Truck, Trailer, Tire & Equipment Repair

I haven't had any work done yet . I just dropped our 24ft box truck off a couple days ago. It's my son and I first truck and I'm 58 I'm going to be driving it for our new business because my son is in the Army stationed in Germany and we need our truck to be safe. I feel pretty good about the people there, that they will do a great job regarding the work we need done and fair about cost and honesty. I felt it in my spirit they were very nice people. God bless them personally and their company. ~April

Johnny's Steaks & Bar-Be-Que

We attended a catered private party in the Outback pavilion. There was plenty of room, nice picnic tables, shade, and even a jungle gym for kids. The stage looks great--will definitely have to come back for a concert, and for the steak, which we heard was amazing. We were served a BBQ brisket and/or turkey meal with all the fixings. Cooked indoors on mesquite wood, the brisket was tender and the turkey melted in your mouth. Finely chopped Cole slaw was perfectly seasoned. The homeade potato salad tasted wholesome and vinegary, and the pepper was liberal without overpowering. The fresh, fluffy bread baked in-house was good enough to eat plain. I usually pass on the bread, but this time I ate the whole slice. Delicious baked beans finished the plate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will come again! ~Amber
