Lively Coffee House & Bistro

Great place to start your day in Salado. Breakfast are sandwich options, coffee options are a variety. Fresh baked goods are delivered daily early in the morning. (Cherry cheesecake!) Staff is friendly and welcoming. I had the veggie breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! Definitely recommend. Drip coffee is strong and just ask barista to leave room at top for add ins. ~LucyAnn

Pen Station

Great hidden treasure in adorable Salado, TX. Came in to make a pen and had SO much fun! The owner and employee (sorry, I forgot names) were so nice and walked my son through the whole process. My son is STILL talking about how cool it was! And the pen has become his favorite. THANK YOU!! We will be back soon to support this great local shop. ~J

Isabella's vintage Decor

Awesome place full of vintage items carefully selected. Take your time to look around so you don’t miss a thing. Meet the owner, Isabella, and enjoy listening to the history of the genuine vintage jewelry made from some of the US tribes people as well from Mexico and other places. If you are visiting Salado, TX, and you love vintage items, this should be one of your stops. ~Guadalupe

Holding the Line Guide Service

Bob is, without a doubt, the best! The day we scheduled our trip ended up being very hot (Texas in August hot) with no wind....so not great for fishing. But Bob was so determined and patient and tried different techniques and moved spots and kept the kids entertained and catching fish. Those conditions could have very easily resulted in a terrible day on the water with bored kids, but Bob made the magic happen. Plus he was so good about explaining things to the kids, teaching them, and keeping them involved in all aspects of the trip. They had a blast, and we cannot wait to schedule another trip! Plus any guide who starts the morning off praying not only over your trip and the day on the lake, but over your kids and their upcoming school year, has me hooked for life! ~Kourtny

Happy Pizza Company

Got myself a beer nearby and a pizza. And as far as what you can expect from a food truck it was fantastic. They have a real brick layed oven where the pizza is being made and a 4ppl crew at 12 on a boring Sunday they prepared it fast and tasty. It smelled amazing and crispy as it should be. Wish them all the best and hope to have one more next week :) ~_
