Best sandwich shop in Universal City, Texas (TX) 2024

I read a lot of good reviews for this place so I dropped in. The ingredients are very fresh and it definitely had a great mom and pop vibe the servers were very friendly. Being objective about the food the Italian grinder was lacking in the meat department but very good just needs to be priced more appropriately(the bread was easily the best part of the sandwich). The Gumbo was ehh I lived in Louisiana for around a year and a half so it missed the mark as far as my expectations go. I will say it was nice to have something hot on this rainy day. I most likely won’t be returning to the sandwich shoppe side of 4 kings but I definitely will be going to their bakery the “Compost cookies” are phenomenal, and worth the trip. ~Luke
