Best gym in Alexandria, Virginia (VA) 2024

Awesome facility! The staff is remarkably kind and respectful. I came in for a tour and a gentlemen known as the GM Aladdin did not let me down. Besides showing me their huge free weight section and their basketball court, he also took time to help me set up a goal timeline with the personal training director Carl and I’m officially starting on a new path this upcoming Monday for my first personal training session with Jeena I think. So far this facility has earned my business as a new member for life. If you haven’t been to an LA Fitness, I suggest giving this location a call and ask for Aladdin to schedule a tour. ~STUD

Great facility! Clean, well organized & spacious. Sign up was disorganized. I never got to speak to anyone about a membership. I ended up joining at a different location. Love the space & enjoy working out here. ~Shermane

I decided not to join after visiting - it had all the equipment but was in a very narrow alley-like building with little light or room to move around. 24 hour access was good but couldn’t see myself there late. For $50 a month probably a good deal but I’ll look to pay more for better amenities. ~Marc

Wife and I came in on a Sunday morning for a fun and active climb. We had a great experience, both with the staff and the facilities. Equipment was in good shape, and all of the walls were well kept. Our instructor was amazing, very relaxed and he never pushed us more than we wanted on the walls. The climbs are great and offer a ton of varying difficulty from never climbed to bouldering and clip in climbing. The 60ft walls are something to behold at first, some of the tallest on the east Coast. We did a 1.5 hr session, and were pretty tired by the end (roughly 5 climbs or so with a group of 3). Definitely will be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn to climb, or just have a fun and active afternoon! ~Daniel
