Best pizza restaurant in Waverly, Virginia (VA) 2024

They've just opened in the old Tavern building in Waverly. The service was ok. Not the best. Our waiter didn't check us for drink refills...the hostess actually refilled us. It took forever to get our orders. Salads and a special. I think their business is mostly take out. The phone rang off the hook the entire visit. The salad was good but the special was hamburger steak, which was a flat hamburger pattie swimming in gravy...it didn't arrive til 10 minutes after the salads. We didn't complain because I'm sure it's an adjustment moving into the building...and they may have employee issues...or a lack of them. They may improve in time. Until then it's a 3. ~Sonja
