Dominique's House
I bought a few items at this Roche Harbor store. 2 kitchen sponges, 1 small bowl, 1 box of 2 candles that came to $85. I literally thought my math skills were totally sucking... When I checked my receipt, I was charged for 2 candles in a box @ $24.99 each candle. What kind of store does this?? Why not just charge $50 for these candles instead of $24.99 each?? ~Krista
Ernie's Cafe
Initial thoughts are mixed. This was our first visit since Ernie's reopened. The Korean Beef Bulgogi rice bowl was good and tasty, the quality of beef very good; it was juicy and seasoned well. But the Fish Sandwich was tasteless and the bottom bun was as hard as a hockey puck and impossible to bite through! Prices seemed good until the tiny portion sizes and inedible sandwich were delivered to our table. Nice chef and good drink and chip choices, but not really wowed by the food. And for the small amount you get (btw, rice is too damn cheap to be charging $15 a bowl for it), it was not worth the cost. Better sandwich buns and decent portion sizes would go a long way to improve the place. ~N
Friday Harbor Salon
I have been seeing Chloe for haircuts and color for over a year. During my first appointment with her, she took extra time to talk with me about what I wanted in terms of a haircut, color and styling and then shared with me her thoughts and suggestions. Never before have I experienced the level of communication, knowledge, creativity and passion that Chloe gives to her clients. When I needed something changed in my haircut, she heard what I said and translated it into immediate action. When I have struggled with styling issues (weird waves, etc.), she has taken the time to show me (actually trained me) how to style my hair. No one has ever done this for me. Chloe also has impressive knowledge of hair care products. Her online scheduling program makes it very easy to schedule and reschedule appointments without having to wait for a return call. I always look forward to seeing Chloe and love what she has done to transform my hair. She is an absolute joy! ~Katy
Vic's Drive In
This was probably the most affordable place on the island for dinner. My husband and I were tired and didn’t want to spend $80 a plate and one of the more upscale restaurants. This place hit the spot. The burgers were tasty. Tater tots were better than the french fries. Nothing outstanding so if you’re looking for “that burger” this is not the place. It wasn’t dirty but wasn’t clean either. Service was friendly though and we were able to sit and enjoy an inexpensive burger. ~Leita
Friday Harbor Fire Department Thrift

Downriggers - Friday Harbor
Absolutely delicious seafood spot! Creative cocktails, great service and a beautiful location overlooking the harbor. I especially loved the clams in a mild curry sauce. So good! We also enjoyed the fish tacos and crab melt sandwich. Delicious! ~Nicole
LUSH SALON
Bettie is AMAZING! She really took the time to get me the exact look I wanted. Not only that, but damage from bleaching was a huge concern for me, and Bettie gave me amazing tips to prevent that and keep the look lasting as long as possible. I've followed her advice to a T and my hair feels healthier than it ever has. Thank you Bettie!! Services: Hairstyling, Balayage, Hair coloring ~Laura

Tina's Place
I rarely give 5 stars to a dining facility but I just loved it here. Great breakfast. I had pancake with eggs and bacon. Loved both in and out seating. Best part was the super friendly staff and owner. I also loved how the locals came in, got their greeting to start day off right, and clearly they all cared about one another. Rare to find. Happy I did. ~Chelle
Cousin Vinnies NY Pizza Cafe
We got a 16 piece vegetarian pizza. We did not like it. The cheese was odd. It was not melted and pizza did not taste good. It was also on the expensive side. ~Aishwarya
