Absolutely delicious seafood spot! Creative cocktails, great service and a beautiful location overlooking the harbor. I especially loved the clams in a mild curry sauce. So good! We also enjoyed the fish tacos and crab melt sandwich. Delicious!

Best food on San Juan Island. Beautiful setting on the bay, food is delicious and seafood is fresh. Great ambiance, and located right next to the pier. Would love to come back one day.

We had such a great experience on our day trip to Friday Harbor. The staff here was very accommodating, great vibe with outdoor seating and fireplace. They have a coconut margarita that is absolutely to die for, we will be back for sure

The views at this place do not disappoint. The best part about the airy, glass- encased dining room is the ready availability of a fantastic view regardless of where you sit. The patio is beautiful as well, but make sure it isn't too cool before sitting down as the island can get chilly and windy fast. We came here for lunch and dinner. The food overall is solid, and tastes fresh. Definitely ask about the specials as they rotate interesting dishes in and out daily. We ordered Dungeoness crab tots and bread with sun-dried tomato butter for apps. The butter was surprisingly tasty and satisfying in the brisk weather. The tots on the other hand, were underseasoned and full of filler potato. There was negligible crab flavor. The pan seared salmon was dish of the day and cooked to perfection. Halibut was equally good - you won't go wrong with fish here. Prawn mac and cheese is delicious as well, but personally I would pick one of the fish entrees over it. The fish and chips is serviceable, crispy and with a generous helping of fries. For dessert, we tried the candy bar cake and white chocolate cheesecake. The former had a little 'refrigerator flavor' clinging to the cream, but was otherwise moist and went quick. The cheesecake is solid but nothing special. As for the service, the waitstaff seemed pretty inexperienced, frequently swapping with each other and spilling water on the table, but they were pleasant for the most part. Downriggers is a great pick for a special occasion and for some great views. They have just managed to justify their price point.

It was the second and the last time I went to this restaurant. First of all, our waitress was very passive aggressive. Just to give you an idea, I asked her if the lemonade was fresh or concentrated. She said it would be $20 if it was fresh. Why not just answer the question as opposed to using such kind of unprofessional commentary? She never checked on us after we got the food. Next, a piece of plastic was found in our food. The lady who came to get our plates was made aware of this and she didn’t have any sense of apology. All she said was she would inform staff in the kitchen and walked away. At that point, we somehow understood that for some reason, we were not welcome there or their service was generally horrendous. We decided to pay our bill and leave without reporting it to the manager as we had not had any positive vibe since our arrival at the restaurant. A picture of plastic found in the food is attached.

Ate lunch in the bar area while waiting for the ferry. The steak with the Caesar salad was very tender. The downrigger burger was very juicy. Went well with the San Juan porter

How is this place not rated higher?!?! The service (our waitress was awesome) and food was beyond our expectations! At first we weren’t sure since it was a $$$ restaurant but we realized it was worth every penny especially when you’re having dinner with a view. Everything came out quickly! The food and drinks were soo good! We had the flat iron steak and the clam chowder w/ warm bread & tomato butter. We also had dessert (not sure what it was called) it was amazing!! Best meal we had in awhile!!!

We ate here 3x already on our 5 day trip. Twice dine in for dinners and once for lunch as take out. Their specials are delicious and their kids meals are very well done (smaller portions of the normal adult dinners), our super picky kids asked to come back here (they basically tried everything on the menu!).

Not the best but ok. Calamari was tasty but slightly overcooked. Fish and chips had too much breading but the fish was cooked correctly. Scallops and gnocchi was very tasty with scallops cooked perfectly. Spicy mango margarita was something different and refreshing. Overall OK...I think there are better places to try. View of harbor is top notch. Service was very good

Nice restaurant. Nice and attentive staff. Great decor. My wife had something with dungeness crab and I had the pesto turkey sandwich. The turkey was stacked in the middle of the sandwich, which made it difficult to eat. After redistributing the meat, it was missing some salt. Aside from that it was good. Fries were great. My wife's lunch was absolutely delicious. I wish I had ordered what she did.
