Cricket's Cell Service is great! That being said the folks in New Martinsville, WV as well as Asurion (Insurance Company) don't know what they are doing and have caused a 5 day, $560 issue (+ our monthly plan renewed which has Auto Pay btw) by putting 2 names (and Misspelled my wife's name, Jamie) on the account making it impossible to resolve this issue.
Thankfully I work in an area approximately 1½ hours away (in Bridgeport, WV). At that location they have a Manager (Codie) as well as an Employee (Brent, I believe was his name) who have been over the top helpful (even when at home on his day off, and a 2nd time when the Manager had left the store approximately 10 minutes before I arrived And Come Back To Help)!
They found that when we sent in an insurance claim with Asurion, then received a new phone that was Blacklisted, they reported it Lost/Stolen, then shut the cell service off to the phone.
When we stopped in the New Martinsville store we were instructed to call the insurance company to resolve the issue (which we had tried once but didn't think we were doing it correctly) and refused to help with the matter....because their store phones were out.
After 2 more Days of trying to get the phone working, we asked the Bridgeport, WV store for help (on Day 3). ***We were in Terrible Moods! We were not nice, and ready to shut down Both of our phones and switch companies!***
They were Still Very Polite, Professional and Helpful! They asked us to allow them until the next day to get the issue resolved with Asurion.
Day 4 the insurance company had not contacted them and were abesutely no help when they called them for answers.
So we Bite The Bullet just to make the issue go away and spent $560 on a New phone with New Sim Card and New IMEP # as well as removed the Insurance from both of our phones. This eliminated the Insurance Company completely.
Everything worked great up until we went to bed but the next morning THE NEW PHONE WAS NOW PUT INTO LOST/STOLEN Mode As Well!
Day 5 we are here again! The Manager come back to the store after just ending his shift 10 mins prior to me showing up. He contacted the Insurance Company (who should have had abesutely no involvement in my new phone due to me removing them from my plan the day before). Codie spent more than an hour speaking with Asurion, his District Manager, and Tech Support to resolve the Issue for us!
The Manager and his Staff are the only reason we still have our account with Cricket! The went above and beyond to help us and I abesutely can not Thank Them Enough! I also can't Apologize Enough for our Attitudes when beginning this process!
