Pretty run down droll mall. It's better days long gone. Not enough nice places to shop or eat in the mall. Do not recommend. Lakeside mall has this one beat BIG TIME..

Visited for a quick Beignet experience. It was just an okay experience, maybe because the location of the cafe is inside a mall that is rarely visited. It's not the same as having beignet in French Wuarter or a bigger mall in the middle of New Orleans. Anyway, the food is as expected.. Freshly made and delicious. The staff seemed bored aswell.. because not too many people visits this location anyway.

Black Friday was cool @ The Oakwood Mall in Gretna. La. I was so happy to see so many people. especially, 🧡 the "Beignets" @ Cafe Du Monde, it was very tasty. The Cafe seating area was nice. Of course not the same as sitting outside in the Cafe's Courtyard in the New Orleans French Quarters. 🙂 Anyway, it was still very nice. The staff workers were professional and kind. Also, patient with the customers. They maintained a clean and comfortable seating space for customers. It was a "good thing" to see a busy and crowded environment while just browsing or shopping at Oakwood Mall. We will have another visit soon, when in the area... Ck out for yourself. 🙂

Exactly the same thing as the one on Decatur. But NO LINE. This matters the most. I highly recommend to try it here, and maybe take a photo in front of the original shop (you’re probably going to go there anyway), if it’s your first time!

Very long line, even though most of the tables were available. Slowest service possible. Five employees, but only one is working. We left after 30 minutes waiting without cafe. Employee was cleaning the floor and make Beignets, same time, without washing the hands.

So I finally had a beignet for the first time. I’ve heard lots about the cafe in the French Quarter, but decided to try the mall location. Since I don’t have anything else to judge on, I’m giving it a 4 four. The location can be pretty busy on the weekends, but the staff moves fast. I even picked up a coffee cup!

Yes! There is a reason why cafe du monde is known in NOLA. The beignets were incredible and so affordable. I definitely recommend coming here if you want to avoid the busy streets of the French Quarter. Easy in and easy out! The worker was very kind and made sure she wiped off my pop before handing it to me. Do yourself a favor and get yourself some beignets. No, it doesnt have to be morning time, either!

It was good! Not quite as good as the french quarter location... but there is not much difference. We were headed home after our weekend in New Orleans and this was alot easier to get to then the French Quarter location! I would definitely go again when I'm in the area.

Coffee was awful. Burnt with a weird after taste I assume was the chicory. The beignets were ok, but they were just denser funnel cake. If you like zepolis you will like beig nets, but honestly these were no better than what you would get from a stand at a carnival or fair.
