What did we ever do without Dollar General? They almost always have everything I need, and always have plenty that I want. If you return something, though, besides the receipt the thing being returned needs to have a tag on it. I was not aware of this, so I got to keep it, after all!

Bought some lunchables for my kids here and they were moldy. Disgusting. But the cashier was amazing. She made the whole situation better. Savannah should be promoted to manager.

Love the cashiers here. They just remodeled and upgraded the store and they now have fruits and veggies. This place gets all of money every week🙄

Product availability & new hire employee not a thumbs up in my opinion however, the dedicated staff members that have been working @this store for awhile are always friendly. New cashier needs to be trained in treating customers equally and not assume customers are uneducated. Don't talk down to a customer, customers are the reason you get a paycheck

Stocked with maxium selection for the small size, albeit a little cluttered. a fantastic store. Sales almost always labeled, and product gets sold out frequently. Awesome manager Ms. Sam. Friendly atmosphere, if your nearby. stop in.

I went to the store in holden la store 12981 and the cashier Michael was so rude and insisting that my money was not real that I can assure you that I will never step back into a dollar general again there was no manager around so we was told and when I asked who the manager was I was told Stephanie and he couldn't tell me when she would be in I have always shopped at Dollar general and I worked there at one point but to be totally treated like this for purchase was absurd and you can't get thru the isles the store is a horrible mess

Newly renovated with produce now! Just hate how all the time the store is.cluttered and full of cart to where you can hardly navigate the store with ease. The workers are rude mostly and always yelling if closing time is soon!

The store in Holden, Louisiana is managed by a girl who treats customers like scum. I have often heard her insult customers and confront them for no apparent reason, and her employees admit that they are afraid of her, but I had no idea how bad she was until she called me a liar in front of other customers. I am a regular at the store, and a good customer in every way, so I did not anticipate a problem when I tried to return an unopened comforter with a receipt. It was a debit purchase, and I always prefer to get the cash back rather than wait five days while I have to monitor my account. I explained this when she incorrectly stated that she wasn’t allowed to give debit refunds in cash, and that I had twice made returns where the money never actually appeared in my account, and that was when she said that it could not be true. I asked if she was calling me a liar, and she said: “No, I am saying that you are untruthful”. As soon as I asked her to call her district manager she became irate and refused to listen. I left to call customer service and returned five minutes later when they had confirmed that I could do a cash return. Apparently she has read up on the policy and discovered that on her own, because she now said that she was allowed to do cash but didn’t have enough money in the register because someone might need cash back. I asked her to sell me a VISA gift card for that amount so she wouldn’t lose cash from the drawer and I wouldn’t have to return, but she cut me off and supposedly spent 37 minutes on hold with store support to confirm that this was allowed. As she was waiting I politely tried to explain that she had already been told that she could refund cash, and that she knew she could sell gift cards for cash, so it should be a simple matter to refund the cash and use it to buy a gift card. She kept cutting me off, saying that she had to ask for permission. When I inquired why it was okay to use the cash in the drawer for a cash back transaction but not the return, she bit my head off and announced that she would not discuss the matter further. After a total wait of more than an hour she was instructed to give me cash back, but not realizing that I had heard the man on the phone tell her this she insisted that I had to spend the $4.95 on a fee to get the return on a gift card. I finally relented to avoid having to come back and be insulted again, but when I calmly and politely said that it was shameful that I had to pay to do a return with a receipt she snapped that she didn’t want to hear from me anymore because she was doing the return. All of that was bad enough, but the most extreme insult was when she deliberately waited on the other employee to leave before she told me that I would be lucky if I got to return the comforter at all, as I could have stolen it for all she knew. When I said that I might be forced to go to a different store, she snapped back that she would call the ones nearby to “warn” them about me – me, the customer who spends hundreds of dollars a week in her store, and had a receipt for the giant (and tough to steal!) comforter.
