I did not feel welcome at all. I’m a person of color and wasn’t even greeted once. Meanwhile, everyone else that came in after me were greeted with friendly energy. All the other shops were very friendly and had a nice atmosphere. This one did not. It’s very clear the owner cared more about their white customers. Please avoid this place if you are a minority. There are better places to take your business in Old EC!

I visit discoveries several times a year. It's a store full of interesting gifts for others or to yourself. Located in Historic Ellicott City on Main Street, it's a dreamlike place to escape the same old shopping malls. Sally, the Owner gives excellent customer service. She's knowledgeable & helpful. It's a great place to buy gifts such as animal figurines, rare jewelry, unique dresses, trinkets & so much more. I go to discoveries to buy their beautiful glass owls to add to my Owl collection & Sally is always getting new merchandise in stock. My 2 favorites are from here. Absolutely 5 stars, thank-you Sally!! :-)

We love shopping at Discoveries! My daughter won't go anywhere else when she needs a dress for a special event (homecoming, prom, weddings, etc.) Unique boutique with whimsical gift items and jewelry - many created by local artists.
