We went in looking for some birthday presents and Samantha was phenomenal from the moment we walked in. She helped us find the perfect gifts for mom in the best possible way. She guided us us offered incredible suggestions. We are so happy with the variety of products but mostly with the excellent customer service.

Shopping in the store today and had a very unsettling and disturbing experience with the Assistant Manager. Carrying my keys around, they fell on the ground. My kiddo picked them up and I heard someone screeching from across the store, " Is everything alright?!!!" Customers stopped shopping and everyone froze. I honestly had zero idea who she was yelling at because of the distance between us. Who yells at customers in such a manner, I was in disbelief. She repeated herself yelling again and everyone stopped and turned and stared again. I finally realized she was addressing me, and replied, "Umm..my keys fell." She seemed satisfied with that answer and proceeded to lecture me about how many items are broken in the store on a daily basis. Meanwhile she has completely stopped assisting the customer she was working with to deliver this overly loud admonition from near the rear of the store. Stunned, I asked her had she ever dropped her keys? This is hardly an action that warranted such an over the top response! This store sells paper products and trinkets, there is nothing in there valuable enough to publicly embarrass a customer and to create such a spectacle of herself. I will never frequent this store again. I'm not sure what type of problem this employee has but she's abrasive and unprofessional.

My experience at Paper Source stuck out in my trip to Bethesda! I was getting a gift, and told the cashier that it was a gift for my friend nearby. Even when my friend walked up, the cashier made sure my friend didn't see my surprise, and I really appreciate that. She also thanked us for using reusable bags (not common!), asked us about our day, and was so nice. Adorable store, great customer service.

Friendly staff, feels like a neighborhood arts & crafts store from back home. They'll start to call you by your first name. Quirky, interesting gifts (and gift wrap!) and solid arts and crafts finds.

Wonderful store employees are super helpful. Was looking for a certain style of Calendar and I found it plus they recommended if they didn’t have it they had an online store also.

They have good wrapping supplies and very nice cards. The selection is excellent. They also have cardstock and art supplies. It was a bit crowded when I went there, but the service was great anyway.

I went to Paper Source for all of my wedding stationary including our Save the Dates, Invitations, Envelopes, Belly Bands, Reception Cards, embosser for return labels, Labels, Menus, and thank you cards. I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the staff and their knowledge of their products and services at the Bethesda and Alexandria locations. First, I made an appointment to start my wedding stationary research and they not only forgot about the appointment, but the person I was supposed to meet with, simply didn’t show up at work that day. I was then misguided about the methods of printing and available papers for each type of printing when I was making choices. This lack of clear understanding of the company's capabilities led to mistakes and re-printing, which delayed my Save the Dates from going out on time. My goal was to keep all of our stationary uniform to keep a common theme and in the end I continued to hit roadblocks about the choices I had made. I was then informed what I had chosen for my Save the Dates could not be done to the stationary I selected for our invitations, off of which the Save the Dates had been based. I met with the manager, and in the end Paper Source made me custom invitations and stationary, for all of the inconveniences. Yet, my embosser broke when I was making the envelopes and then the company who produced the embossers for Paper Source went on strike, but I was not informed of this so I waited in limbo. My embosser finally arrived, but with the insignia upside down. By the time the correct one arrived, I was scrambling to make my envelopes at the last minute, again. In the end, I think our stationary and related items turned out well, but it came at such a large price financially and emotionally. I love Paper Source products, but you truly need to stick with what they have available online and be clear with a knowledgeable person on the staff about what they can and cannot provide in terms of services.
