I placed an online order for delivery with Iron Charm, totaling $27.35 (not including delivery fee, tax, and tip). I realized that the paper version of the menu indicated “Order $20 FREE Spring Roll or Egg Roll.” The online ordering site did not offer this, so I called the restaurant to inquire. The “not-so-polite” woman, that answered the phone, advised that I was not eligible for this free item because I ordered using the site and I paid with a credit card. The paper menu does not indicate these exceptions. The food was not bad, but there also was nothing exceptional about it—very average. Nevertheless, I do not like when businesses publish offers, and then, have these unpublished/unwritten exceptions that disqualify customers. The value of the freebie is $1.48, so it seems that this business would honor the advertised offer without regard to payment method or the medium utilized to place the order. I refuse to patronize businesses that employ such unscrupulous tactics to draw patrons and employ unpublished rules to disqualify customers from benefitting from certain offers. My impact on this merchant may result in nothing, but I wanted to share my experience because unlike their average tasting food, the failure to give me a free spring or egg roll, left a horrible taste in my mouth. 🤣🤣🤣

Iron Charm has my complete recommendation! Absolutely the best kung Pao chicken I've ever had. The Singapore noodles are phenomenal. Great egg rolls and dumplings. The wonton soup was flavorful (not bland like some places). Their French fries were fantastic, crispy, well seasoned, and you could tell the cooking oil was fresh. OMG their sweet tea is delicious! I think it's made with honey.

I dont know what's up with these people leaving bad reviews. The food is on point The lady was super nice, she even gave me directions there. Large portions, lots of shrimp. If you're expecting Ruth Chris service cook at home. This is my go to place now.

This has been our go-to spot for Chinese food since we moved here 4 years ago ☺️ Excellent customer service every single time! Even better is that the food is hot and delicious and quickly delivered. If there is ever a problem they will fix the situation quickly. 💕

If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service is horrible! I ordered four wings and fries. The fries looked like they were refried and smelt like they were cooked in old grease. I called and asked if I could get some new fries because the fries were not good. The woman started yelling and told me the fries were good and told me to bring the food back right now. When I got back to the store she stormed out from the back room very aggressively and told me they were not making new fries for me. I opened the box and showed her the fries. She again told me the fries are good and they are always the same. I told her she was very rude she continued to fuss as she walked to the back. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered food from them last week , I loved it . So I call back today to order the same exact thing for them to tell me I didn’t order enough for them to deliver. The lady that was on the phone was extremely rude. I’m not sure what their policy is or if they even have one at all . I guess it must depend on how desperate they are for business that day .

I have been reading the reviews for this place and seeing a lot of mixed reviews about the lady at the counter. I decided to give it a shot and see if she is as rude as some described or as nice as others described. For me, she was very nice. I guess you just have to treat others the way you wanted to be treated. Don't be a trashy customer and you won't be complaining about how rude others are. The food is extremely flavorful. I ordered roast pork fried rice, pepper steak, and beef in black bean sauce. The pepper steak and the beef in black bean sauce are normally not spicy, but I asked them to make them spicy and keep the fried rice normal.. I was hungry, but holy cow, the meal was amazing. My kids loved them too. Definitely the best Americanized Chinese restaurant in the area.

I have definitely seen a lot of mixed reviews for this establishment. I’ve been going to this restaurant since I moved to Woodlawn this year. I go here once a month. Food is always good for the most part. Sometimes a little over cooked. A lot of customers are complaining about customer service but I have never had that experience because I ALWAYS order online. The women always greets me to pick my food up but she is pleasant with me. I guess results may vary.
