The creator of this place can take a bow(ery). What a delightful spot! Fold-open windows, rustic belt-driven ceiling fans, and the food is great (which is important considering it's an eatery). Plenty of GF and non-meat options, a friendly staff to recommend things to you, and se really tasty drinks from the bar. The televisions are really out of place amongst the old charm, but overall a must-go! Vegetarian options: Great quinoa burger and plenty of non-meat and GF options

Ok food. The drinks are amazing as well as the staff. Do not get the tater tots! They are not tater tots. They are mashed potatoes fried into the shape of a big tater tot

Definite Pros and Cons to this place The pros: The outside eating space behind the restaurant. It is open air with Edison lights all around and old barrel tables. A nice atmosphere. Another pro and food recommendation would be the guacamole, it was addictively good. Cons: My biggest con was the main meal. I was not impressed with their tacos, they tasted rather bland like corn tortillas and you can absolutely find better in the city. They looked beautiful though. Servers were friendly but the restaurant itself can get a bit loud and crowded. Overall I don't think the cost reflects the quality of the food. But if you were interested in some guacamole and chips while having a drink out back in the evening under the lights, I'd say it would be nice. This place is along Dot Ave with indoor and outdoor seating. Its location makes it easy to find street parking, either up by the CVS or Dorchester park. It is a nice area to walk around with small shops, churches, the park, the Neponset trail and the old chocolate factory.

We started with the nachos and they were so good!! My friend got the Ahi Tuna Salad and she loved it. She thought it was delicious! I got the Hot Bird, the chicken was moist and tender. However, I thought the Honey Hot sauce was going to be all over the chicken. The chicken needed way more sauce because there was barely any on it. The fries were on point! I was pleased with the the customer service and the ambiance of the place. I would come here again and try something else, they did have good options on the menu. Came here again 7/22/22 and the food was 5 stars this time. The street corn dip was delicious and so was the hot wings appetizer.

Great service, fresh food and good drinks. The fish batter wasn’t seasoned and sort of just meh. The crispy chicken sandwhich my partner loved tho! Nachos were delicious / I would return and try something outside of the fish and chips.

Two Stars. Why? One word: Julie. Our waitress for the evening. Not interested in serving our party at all. Could not care less if we enjoyed our birthday dinner. Would've ruined our evening if not for the help of Lucas and strong drinks. Good food. Poor, poor service. Features: No masks required or worn by patrons or staff. No social distancing. Seated to capacity.

The waitress could’ve been a little bit more friendlier, but the food was excellent the drinks were kicking, you could taste the alcohol, Definitely keep the water coming.

If you ask any local, they’d probably recommend this place as a go to. We had a great time here and the food and drinks were pretty good. The wings and nacho platter really hit the spot. Other items we tried were the bolognese pasta, salmon tartare, and hot bird sandwich, all of which were great. The salmon tartare was surprisingly very good, I had no expectations as it usually isn’t a bar/tavern offering. The bolognese pasta was exceptional, not too much sauce where you have a puddle left over, it was just the right amount coating every strand of pasta. The bolognese sauce itself was good, nice balance and wasn’t too salty or oily. Overall Bowery Bar is definitely a hidden gem in my opinion. Especially the patio set up they have in the back. We rented one of the yurts (tent) and I was pleasantly surprised at the set up. It felt very cozy and is an intimate space for throwing a party. It can seat up to 8 people in the yurt. I will 100% be coming back to rent the yurt for dinner get togethers.

The atmosphere is good and has a surprising amount of seating. They have a great bar, good sit down area and a outdoor patio. The beer list is great with local and not local craft brews. I feel at this point unless the bar specializes in having dads blue ribbon only....if the place doesnt have a good beer list its a pass for me. Every time I have been there has been at least a few new beers on the menu which I can appreciate. The food is good and the apps are great. Service is also really good which makes it a nice neighborhood bar.

A great find. A beautiful interior (check out their amazing ceiling fans!) but the patio is magical, bordering on transcendent. Service was great, except for seating at the host stand - we were told 20 min wait, but never received a followup "table is ready" text and it was 35 mins before someone scooped us up from the bar to get a table, and the outside patio wasn't full, so I assume someone lost our name. Cocktails were very good, but a little inconsistent, 2nd round of the same cocktail (brown butter old fashioned) was much sweeter than the first round. Everything was clean, with the exception of the bathrooms, but not terrible - paper towels were out in the dispenser, just a roll on the counter, and mirrors had some graffiti and vandalism. The food was very good, portion sizes were much larger than we expected, and made for good leftovers.
