Great ski shop. Friendly and responsive staff. Chris is very knowledgeable about the latest skis, boots and bindings. Great full season rental prices.

We have purchased skis, tennis rackets and more here over the past few years, but everytime we go in, I leave wondering why I shop here. Selection and prices are okay, but the sales people are consistently RUDE!! Will be taking our business elsewhere 👎

I flew to Boston with skis for a week of skiing in Maine. Unfortunately, after arriving I realized that a ski binding had been destroyed in transit. After researching ski shops in the Northshore, I drove to the Sports Shop to try and get the binding repaired. I quickly learned that since the binding was integrated into the ski, the binding could not be repaired. Chris and Debbie of Super Sports ran through some options. They were never pushy. As I moved toward buying a replacement pair, Chris made some recommendations and I quickly settled on a new pair. They were so helpful getting the bindings attached to the skis so I could begin my vacation the same day. They even offered to send an email explaining the force necessary to damage/shear the binding from the ski so that I might be able to recover a damage claim from the airline. Great store and incredible team that works there.

So surprised! I walked in for the first time, trying to find help for my old ski boots - tried on a few, but was never pressured to purchase anything - Chris was very nice and totally knows his stuff. They ended up fixing my existing boots to get through the season, and will definitely go back next fall for new boots and skis. Very lucky to have them right on the North shore!

Without giving to much detail about myself I owned and operated a very large retail operation from coast to coast. I live on the north shore and like to shop local. I have for a couple of years now rented skis and bought skis for my 8 yes I said 8 children. I have spent well over 5000.00 in the last 2 years alone. Many times I’ve witnessed the owner being curt with customers and from my experience surprised but figuring they have always given me decent service I continued to shop there. We recently had our 8th child unexpectedly early in February and she had to spend 3 weeks in the NICU. We have a home in Maine and that’s where we left the rental skis. Of course this has been the last thing on our mind and haven’t been to Maine since she was born. Sports Stop called in May to let us know we hadn’t returned the rentals and I explained I was very sorry but we hadn’t had a chance to get north to retrieve the skis and after explaining we had a preemie the lady on the phone said “everyone has a good excuse you will be charged 4$ per day” flabbergasted I let her know if I was charged a late fee I’d never do business there again and to that she said “sorry to hear that”. Sent my in-laws up north to retrieve the skis and brought them back a week later. Owner comes out and I explain the story. No joke he literally begins to try and poke holes in my story about how st Elizabeth’s handled baby’s being visited in the NICU!!!!! I wish I was making this up....... this by the way is the only time in my life I have left a review anywhere. Second who makes something like that up.Needless to say he told me I must pay the 40$ late fee and he didn’t care about losing my business. So up to all of you on whether to do business with a man who clearly doesn’t care about customers or even basic human decency. Can’t say or yell at the top of my lungs loud enough this business doesn’t deserve to exist!!!!!

Sports Stop provides excellent goods and services. This is our 5th season renting skis. The price is affordable the skis are top notch. Staff are so organized, patient and professional. I highly recommend them.

I came in looking for a new tennis racket. I haven’t played in a few years so I didn’t know much about what’s new. The staff came over and found me lost and explained to me what they had and asked me what kind of player I am and picked out a few rackets that would be good for me. He also brought me to last years models that were cheaper. I ended up with the Dunlop Revo CV 3.0 F and I’ve played a few matches with the racket and it’s exactly what I was looking for. They are kind and patient and will help you with what you need. Absolutely great store.

Great customer service, definitely a family feel and very knowledgeable. So much better to rent for the season there then renting at the mountain for those without their own equipment. The skis they gave me were new. Cost and quality is great.

I have rented from this place for the last time. The owner apparently did not appreciate a mother with 3 children on her own trying to rent skis and ultimately pay them money. Apparently the owner knew better and told this mother she should have had an abortion as he thought her children were too disruptive. I will not, nor will my friends ever give any more money to this wretched establishment.

Excellent service, always helpful, bend over backwards to accommodate. Last week, I rented skis; Matt dropped what he was doing, went right down cellar and came back a few minutes later, complete tune-up, sharpened, waxed. " Ubiquitous Chris" always offers me great advice on equipment.
