I was surprised to find that all patients were sitting around in wheelchairs in the lobby. No beds. No nurses checking on patients. My dry IV that the EMT put in, was left in for hours. We were not updated on progress or when xrays and lab would be done. I didn't find out that the reason was lack of staff. My Husband had to check and find out if it was OK for us to just go back home. The Dr had indicated that I might be kept. At 9:30 PM we were informed when my husband asked if we could go was that there were no available beds so we went home. I got there at noon. This is another Biden caused crisis.

I just had my second son at McLaren Flint. I'm leaving a five star review strictly because of the nursing staff I had with me throughout the process. Nurses : Jessica, Alicia, Jill, Liv, and Janine were all absolutely extraordinary and provided exceptional care. I had an unmedicated birth with as minimal interventions as possible and they were all so supportive of all my decisions. My nurse Jessica was especially wonderful. She was with me when my son was born and she made sure to tell me to breathe properly during labor - when all I wanted to do was cry like a baby 😅 While the hospital itself isn't the best, the staff I had made my stay absolutely worth it. If anyone of my nurses get the chance to read this - I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will be remembered 💗

Stay away from this POS hospital! Ten hours in the ER waiting room and not even seen a doctor yet, First it was “Our beds are full” but then heard one nurse tell another that they have the beds but not the nurses. There seems to be like only one doctor for the entire ER. Yet through all this they are still cramming the waiting room with more people. I’ve left this bad review, emailed ABC 12 news, and even emailed the governor begging for her to deploy national guard medics before they kill someone. Avoid this place at all cost. I don’t know if it’s staffing issues or corrupt admin policies but avoid this place at all cost if you have an emergency.

I went to the emergency room because I had a stroke and they were waiting for me and wasted no time with treatment. I spent four days on the 12th floor and the treatment was absolutely wonderful. It was absolutely amazing and the care of that I received from the nurses, nurses aids, physical therapy, occupational therapy , speech pathologist and of the doctors plus all of the other staff. I am home now and doing very well and I want to thank all of them.

The best help at McLaren Flint Emergency Room came from other people in the waiting room. The younger of us helped the elderly to the bathroom, offered kind words and compassion to each other, helped another who was confused and strapped into a wheelchair and left alone. The entire 6 hour experience was useless. A hospice patient with a dislocated shoulder was SCHEDULED to be brought in and while enroute by ambulance (15 minute drive) the hospital had given the bed to someone else. In the 6 hours one xray was done. No results shared. Then he ran out of oxygen and no idea how long that had been happening. The patient demanded to leave and was transported out by ambulance with nothing done to help him. The lack of care by the all of the staff I encountered was just plain sad because there was not any care given by them. Also, please don't reply with your automated statement to reach out further to you. Have you read your own reviews??? This review is for the patients. And thank you to those others in the waiting room who were so very kind!!

I was in for a procedure at the surgery center. They gave me back all of my belonging except for my jewelry and said they didn’t have it. Refused reimbursement. I contacted patient advocate, they said they would reimburse. Next day I called regarding the previous comment and they accidentally answered without knowing. The patient advocate employees were talking poorly about other patients along with their personal lives. Completely unprofessional. I called the next day to speak with the supervisor, when the supervisor told me she was not going to reimburse because “they only reimburse when it’s a big deal” and she didn’t give two thoughts about what I had overheard. I began with this matter very politely and respectfully but was only disrespected by staff.

With no fault of the P.A that was helping. I brought my sister in at 11:30am with severe abdominal pain. 2weeks prior she was diagnosed with cancer. There was blood work and a CT scan that had results come back yet still waiting for the ultrasound results. 15 hours later we are still in the emergency room. Nothing for pain, no I.V fluids knowing she has not ate or drank in two days. The P.A keeps looking to see if the results are in yet here we sit. I would just take my sister home but her cancer doubled in size in just two months. Come on people, do better! The PA finally was able to see the ultrasound and informed me that my sister's cancer grew. Thank you for allowing me to completely lose it and being so kind.

Where do I begin. I am sitting in the waiting room for 8 hours. I came here from dialysis. I am in extreme pain. I came here having chest pains. Thank God I wasn't haven't having them. Plus my feet were hurting since this morning dialysis. They need to do things a lot better. I understand Covid, but this is just sad.

Been sitting here since 7:30 am and it is now 9:20 pm. Brought my husband here due to a fever of 103.2 he couldn’t shake. Sat in the waiting room with people crying in pain, vomiting in bags laying on the floor because they are so uncomfortable from sitting in the chairs in the waiting room. I feel for all the doctors and nurses and understand they are short staffed, but this lies solely on the hospital management! Maybe you shouldn’t have fired all the nurses that devoted their lives to this place for not getting vaccinated! Their body, their choice.

I've been in the emergency room since 5pm. It is now 2:30am and I have yet to be seen by anyone. When I asked how much longer my wait time would be the triage nurse copped an attitude with me. I told her I wasn't trying to be rude, I'm just in excruciating pain and the procedure you did on me made me hurt worse and I've been waiting 7 hours in pain. When she informed me that I still had 14 people in front of me and if anyone came in who obviously needed more help than I did it would change. In frustration I stepped outside to make a phone call only to find out 2 hours later that she removed me from the wait list and put me at the bottom of the list because she assumed I had left. I have never been so frustrated and in so much pain in all my life only to be ignored while people who came in hours after I checked in were being taken back in front of me and I have still yet to be seen. I will NEVER go to McLaren hospital EVER again! I'd rather die in excruciating pain in the comfort of my own home than ever step foot in that hospital again!
