Nurses were super great and helpful. This is not about the medical care. I’m leaving 2 stars because of how rude the front desk workers/secretaries were. Tried to force me to sit in the “waiting room” (a bunch of folding chairs essentially) despite being informed by the doctor that the surgery would take 4 hours. The nurse in the back was wonderful and explained to me the timeline and patient pickup procedure. The secretaries were truly just unbelievably rude and condescending - as if I don’t care about my best friend’s surgery. And of course at 7 in the morning!

Huge lack of communication between staff. Asked for my loved one to have a shower(admitted for three days and still hadn’t had one) and after waiting two hours for someone to come in, I went to the front desk to ask for help. The MA came in to explain why they would have to give her a bed bath and we scheduled for 2. I ended up doing it myself after reminding her around 2:30 and still waiting an extra 15 minutes for her to show up, which she never did still! Completely incompetent employees with bad attitudes!

I went in for hip replacement surgery May 26th @ 5:30 am, my surgery was scheduled for 7:30 am that day, by 7:30 pm that day I was @ home recovering, with very little pain! How awesome is that! Dr Jeffrey Davitt you are The Best! The service I received at Beaumont hospital was excellent in supplying a safe and sterile atmosphere for me, it’s the only place I will ever go for service is my first and only choice! Thanks for the daily text you sent me on recovery, that was most helpful.

Elderly patient was put in covid isolation room. She pressed the call button because she needed to use the bathroom. She was sitting in her wheelchair for two hours and five minutes before somebody finally came to find her sitting in her own feces. Apparently they don't respond to multiple calls or screaming at the top of your lungs. This should never happen.

When I was a child, I got very sick, and this hospital treated me very well. However, I recently went to Troy Beaumont for severe chest pain, and my experience was a waste of time. They left us waiting in the ER waiting lobby for a while, and when they did take us in, they slapped a bed sheet on a bed in the hallway with no privacy. We waited a while more. They gave me no pillow, no blanket, no tissue, and no water. They ran some tests, gave a hard to believe diagnosis with little explanation for why. Prescribed me medicine for things that were not really problems to me. Then, they sent us on our way, and I only have a vague idea for what happened to me. I don't understand why hospitals have become like this, but I have seen a change in our health care as Americans, at least in Michigan. It seems to me that hospitals only care about how much money they can convince you to spend while ignoring the core values important to patients, like costumer service, human decency, time management, proper staffing, water, a proper doctor to explain, comfort, privacy, seeing and understanding the result of testing, and so much more that Troy Beaumont lacks. I won't be spending my money here for a waste of time experience.

The text system through Beaumont Hospital was a great tool in my recovery from a total knee replacement. I recommend this service to anyone who requires this type of surgery. The daily message kept me on track during the recovery process. The messages served as a tool to let me know where I should be in the recovery process. It also answered many of my questions without having to call or see a doctor. It was also very motivating to keep you going in the right direction. The format of the messages made the response designed to be personal in nature for each patient. I give it an A+ and highly recommend it for any patient for additional support during your recovery.

I had a mental health crisis and the emergency and psychiatric staff treated me with dignity and respect despite my state. The staff offered a safe space for me to have a quick recovery without forcing me into inpatient treatment. If every hospital treated psychotic patients with this much care, we might be able to initiate a social healing process.

I went to the Beaumont urgent care for lower abdomen pressure and pain. They recommended me to go to the ER Beaumont Troy do they could do a ultrasound. I went but they just did a CT scan which was normal so they discharged me even though I still had pressure and pain. I’m never going there again. They don’t care about people there.

A few years ago my husband and I welcomed our baby boy into the world at this hospital. All the nurses we interacted with in the delivery area were outstanding. I had a mammogram and punch biopsy performed at this facility a year ago. I just scheduled my next mammogram today, and every single person I spoke with was amazingly helpful (first I requested a copy of my records and then I scheduled my appointment, so I ended up speaking with a total of three different employees)

I had my hip replaced by a local surgeon and it was dislocating. I saw Dr. Knapke and he did a revision on my hip. I felt the difference immediately! The new hip supported me!! I didn’t realize until I walked on the new hip that the original hip not only dislocated, but was not supporting me. I was still walking compromised. Now, at 6 weeks post op, I have little or no pain! I enjoyed getting the daily text messages, which included links to videos of the exercises I needed to do. Oh, and I must mention the efficiency of the entire office! A well oiled machine including knowledgeable surgeons, and efficient, well trained staff. My care at Beaumont Hospital was also outstanding!
