My favorite plant shop in Grand Rapids! Awesome plant selections, great quality, and seeing Kappa makes it even better.

I have bought 4 plants from them. I believe they have the best tropical plants and varieties. Even better than the shop across the street from. Cool staff, nice playlist when I come in ;) and I am so eyeing their Monstera Thai Constellation in the window. Hoping they will sell cuttings one day :)

To the person who was disappointed to find a closed shop today, I am the employee who forgot that I was scheduled today. I usually only work weekends, so it slipped my mind! Please let this experience not influence your opinion of The Plant Parlor as a business. My boss, Danny, is responsible and considerate of his customers’ experiences. I reviewed this shop a year ago when I read a spotlight piece in GR Magazine and bought my first houseplants for myself rather than as gifts for others. Those plants are thriving still, with the yucca cane tripling in size. I continue to find a mix of unique plants as well as the more commonly seen houseplants. He (the owner) maintains not only an inventory that is consistently refreshed with a wide variety of plants so there are always new and different species. I really like that there is clearly also attention being paid to price points. You do not have to have an East GR bank account to walk shop here. I see a good selection of plants in a 10-30$ range, as well as in the 30-100$ range, and then of course the larger and/or more exotic types can go above that. Important to note that no matter what price point any plant there is at, I've always found the quality, health, and growth to be excellent across the board. I could go on and on about how much of a gem this shop is, but I absolutely advise that you visit and see for yourself. If you want an idea of what to expect, their social media profiles are updated regularly with what is available, and growing requirements are provided as well in those postings.

Unfortunately the owner here Danny told me a price for a plant and when I came back to purchase it I was told it would be 100.00 more than I was originally told will take my business across the street to the plant shop where they’re more honest/ helpful since I drove over a hour to shop here

Kappa is a wonderful greeting dog, the plant prices are super reasonable, they repot for you, and such beautiful plant selections! 10/10 would recommend. I’m excited to see my little tree grow 😍

I LOVE this store! The space is beautiful, the plant selection is amazing, and the owner, Danny & his staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. I came in knowing very little about indoor plants and left feeling equipped to own something other than a succulent and actually keep it alive 🙌🏼
