The place has a little bit of everything, though few designer or national brands. Whatever it is that you need, though, you can get something close enough to it, right here. The place is very clean, the staff polite, cordial and helpful, parking is close and plentiful, handicapped friendly and the closest thing to an old general store in a modern format that you're likely to find. I've been to the rest and for me this is the best. Now, let me be a bit persuasive; the prices are amazingly affordable because most of the brand's offered don't spend millions of dollars in advertising though some of the major brands like "Tide" etc. are stocked at very competitive prices. Now, allow me to be particular; Stauffer's Ginger Snaps (am eating one now, mmm!), are only $1 for a nice sized bag. Often, they are sold out so call ahead. (I bought 5 bags today!) I've been buying them for years! Next, it seems the canned seafood stuff has skyrocketed in price. (Too much of the "Deadliest Catch" program???) But not here. Kippered herring selling for $2-3 a can elsewhere is a GREAT deal for a superior product at $1.25. Bought ten cans today. I Would have taken the whole 📦 box, but I know others will want them for appetizers over the holiday and the clerk said they can only order one small case at a time. A lot off info, I know, but this is another one of those "local secrets" hiding in plain sight. That's Family Dollar; "make 'em one a yer kin." 😄

They have nice things here prices are decent. The workers always seem like they dont have time for u and stores a bit messy. But they have the best art work to hang on a budget.

Love this place. Decent prices, decent customer service and they usually have whatever I'm looking for. Update: I still shop here several times a week and have never had a problem until the other morning. I went in about 9 am looking for craft (popsicle) sticks, for my son. He was doing a project at school and needed them right then. So, I was going to grab them and run them up to the school. Well, when I walked in and older woman was sitting on a step stool behind the counter. She was reading some papers and never looked up. Not even when I asked her where the craft sticks would be. She just kept looking at her papers and said "we don't carry those". I asked her if she was sure because my other son bought some recently. Nope she says, we've never carried them. I walked back to the craft section and there they were. Took me all of 2 seconds to find. I took them to the counter and said "I guess it's a good thing I decided to look", she was still sitting. oh well, I don't know every product that's in the store she says. Then she gets up and rings me up. I told her that I wasn't pleased with her customer service and that she should go look if she isn't sure of something rather than just say they don't carry something. I explained that people come in there because they need things. She became very rude and began waving her arms and shouting at me. She was going on about how I had no idea what I was talking about and how it's impossible to keep track of everything in the store. I told her that's why you should go look, rather than sit on a stool looking at papers. She shouted some more and I told her that I wasn't going to continue this argument and that I would just contact the manager. She said HA! I AM THE MANAGER!!! She was so unbelievably rude and unprofessional! She was shouting and mocking me and I just couldn't believe it. She was very clearly angry at me because I just didn't take her word for it and walk out of the store and go someplace else. I contacted corporate and I will never ever shop there again, while she's working. I love family Dollar and out of all the employees I've seen come and go... All of them were pleasant and professional. This woman needs a serious repremand and should not be a manager. I still give them 4 stars and would reccomend the store.
