I'd love to try everybody's version of anything. When I get this opportunity to visit pops shop I hope to be amazed. I joked with David I want to say that was his name son of the supreme overlord. LOL hands down and I don't care there's a Popeye's Chicken next door and I love Popeyes, gonellas excuse me is right there start wherever we need to but I need a 10 12 14 layer and bring more back to the shop because I try to share this Joy with everyone you should not try to keep this to yourself you need to share this with people I can only imagine when a party sub would be like. I joke with many people but I'm serious if you don't like this place I will give you your money back or I will question your taste till the end of time

A friend of mine treated me to lunch yesterday at the Redford location. I had never been there and didn't know it existed. I was considering a different sandwich but I kept hearing almost everyone ordering the 8 layer Italian! So that's what I chose and I was rewarded for doing so. I truly recommend this place. For the quality and price it's outstanding and I'm pretty picky to be honest!

Omg! 18 layers of pure heaven for only 13 bucks! For any sandwich lover, head here instead of Tubbys or any of the others. Hands down, best sandwich with tons of meat and very affordable!

Delicious made-to-order submarine sandwiches, a great olive and pickle bar and a dizzying selection of soft drinks, one of the largest I've seen in this area. Various snackables, like potato chips, cookies and other pastries. If you are in Redford, ya gotta go to Gonella's!!

Changed from 5 stars to 4 I asked for extra dressing and tasted like nothing was on it. The other location in Detroit even with regular dressing you can taste it. Other than that the sandwich was still good without it

I have been eating gonellas I. SW Detroit since I was a child. So I was excited when this location opened up near me. Same experience. Definitely worth a try.

One of the best sandwiche places around. Thier hard rolls are so good. I used them for an event for work. My customers really enjoyed the food. Definitely going to use them again.

14 layer so yummy! One of the best Italian subs I've ever eaten. Stopped today and grabbed a 12 layer!!

My first time coming in there today and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. The subs are beyond AMAZING the BEST Italian sub I have EVER HAD!! I also bought some pasta salad and potato salad the pasta salad is like a drug because yes IT IS THAT GOOD lol and the potato salad was so creamy I will DEFINITELY be coming back and will tell every one about this place ! When the owner said they are the best let me tell you he was not Lying. FANTASTIC and very FRIENDLY service .

Everytime I go, it seems to get better & better! I got a 3 meat sandwich with corned beef, ham & hard salami. I had lettuce, their famous dressing, Mayo & banana peppers on a hard roll. Amazing!
