The reed city branch has the nicest group of people working. They're polite, swift at getting you in and out. Also are checking to make sure you didn't forget another transaction..

Just not very helpful with people not with a lot of money, or exemplary credit. Member for 4 years, was always disappointed sadly :(.

Despite having banked with them for decades and having exemplary credit, it took them months to process a small home equity loan. Kari, the branch manager was unprofessional, rude and made the process very uncomfortable.

I am constantly busy. I didn't think I would have enough time to go through information for a loan. So I have been putting it off. I went to West Michigan Credit Union sat down with Tabbie. Was there for 15 minutes. She understood what I wanted, and in less then week after a few emails, she was able to have me go through the whole process of applying to signing the loan papers. I appreciate the time she took to help me, especially because I am so busy. This was a great experience.

While I am a MI resident, my husband was still living in MO until our house sold. He needed access to our money and they made this process a huge ordeal with numerous hoops we had to jump through in order to allow him to be on the account. On top of that, everything else I had tried to do there was also proving difficult (including just getting questions answered about how their loans worked) so I changed banks. Most recently, their staff told me they would close my account on Thursday and then failed to do that. I had thought I had everything switched to my new card (and would have rather had these things decline) - I had a $0.99 hit (itunes) and a $7.99 (netflix) hit and they charged me $60 in fees. Then today they tell me they could have 'froze' my account but since they didn't I had to pay the fees (they didn't even give me that option earlier in this process). Why didn't they do that to begin with? They are not doing what is in the best of interest of their customers. I have switched to another credit union that provides way better perks, accounts, and customer service. They bend over backwards to make sure the customer is happy and have always done what they told me they were going to do. It is so refreshing after having to deal with WMCU and their ridiculous processes.
