This small but great grocery store is like walking back in time to when shopping for groceries was a pleasant and personal experience! They have a wonderful bakery and it's very nice to get bakery items from a real baker and not from a gas station! They also have a deli that is guite good and chicken dinners that rival KFC or Popeyes that includes mashed potatoes w/gravy and coleslaw. Price is a bit higher but with grocery prices on the rise anyway, you are also paying for the experience and supporting a small business which is needed to keep places like this around! One other bonus is that they bag your items for you and offer to bring them to your car if wanted! A must visit location in Crystal,MN. If not for the donuts alone!

I love this store for the quick grocery pick ups. I couldn't afford to do all of my shopping here as it is much more expensive than Cub or Hy-vee

A very friendly friendly place.Has things that the big Box stores do not have. The young kids that work there are the best. Has the best deli and bakery in town. I guaranteed you will leave with a smile. It's a definite MA and PA store. It's run on very good management.

Nice lil friendly neighborhood market/bakery/butcher counter. I like to check out the day-old cart when they open in the morning. Aldi in Crystal is cheaper, but closes at 8/can be too busy/picked over/out of stock.

.... Almsteads, is a little neighborhood market store on the corner of 42 av. and Douglas Drive. I tried from here the Apple Fritter and a Cinnamon Roll. Both were excellent!! The Apple Fritter was delicious, very Apple-y and just the right glaze and sweetness. The Cinnamon Roll had plenty of Cinnamon and just enough sugar. I was told they make their pastries in house. I was very pleased, very delicious! I forgot to pour or dab extra butter on my Roll, yet, it was great. Almesteads, in my book, gets 5 out of 5☆☆☆☆☆, good shewww, good sheww!!

When entering the store always greeted by more than 1 person,aisles very accessible to get from one end to the other 👍 deli has awesome fried chicken, potato salad and yummy coleslaw. A nice variety in the bakery area and very helpful if needed to get the groceries to your car or van. Definitely will go back I give it A++++++++😉👍💜

Well stocked grocery store with some tasty baked items. We really liked the bagels and bread. Some of the produce and frozen food was a bit expensive compared to some other stores, but the sales are reasonable. Quality of the produce seems good.

One of my favorite little old town private grocery stores. Food is always fresh. They offer a nice variety of everything. Their garden plants are beautiful and reasonably priced. If you need something, and they don't carry it in the store, they will order it for you. I love this place!!❤️

Customer service is always friendly, timely, and I like the feeling that you’re in a smaller-town grocery store. Love the baked goods and love it that they usually have a day old bakery cart too to reduce food waste. Their seafood salad in the Deli is so yummy too. Always plenty of parking and I appreciate it A LOT that they have a bunch to recycle clean, dry plastic bags in the front entryway and that they have a bin for food shelf donations too. Helps me take care of those drop-off errands while getting grocery shopping done at the same time!
