Was in Hy-Vee earlier today over lunch to get some food. Dropped by the bakery with the intention of getting a donut or two, but the sight of a couple of flies buzzing around in the case and landing on the baked goods told me all I needed to know about the standard of hygiene at this place. The lady next to me noticed the flies too, and also walked away without buying anything.

This location is very nice. I just wish it wasn’t so busy sometimes but that is not necessarily a negative thing. The staff is kind and welcoming. I was impressed with how they wiped down the checkout after each customer.

Ordered 2 dozen cupcakes and a small smash cake for our daughter’s first birthday party. When my husband went to go pick up the order they told him they lost the order for the cake. They offered to decorate one last minute and my husband agreed to wait. The cupcakes were ready to go and looked perfect (light pink with white pearl sprinkles) but when the cake was handed to my husband it was bright neon pink with green.....? He didn’t say anything to them but I’m not sure why they couldn’t make one to match the theme or even semi-coordinate with the cupcakes.

We got married on 10/19/19. We ordered 125 cupcakes and a small 2 tier cake for the reception. Everything was delivered on time and the decorations were perfect!! Everything was delicious!!

We used Hy-Vee bakery in Lakeville to provide cookies for our wedding dessert this month. We ordered around 350-400 cookies and initially were only given half. We realized it once we'd gotten to the venue to set up and contacted the bakery. They provided us with a credit and also corrected the order within an hour. They were flexible, professional, and handled their error with grace. We also had a ton of compliments on the cookies!
