I bought CharKing self lighting charcoal on my way through town August 10th. Got home and barely, barely cooked a steak in 20 minutes about 1 inch over the coals. I tried again today August 12th. I had to finish the pork in the microwave. Then it was like the coals went out. If I were within half an hour I would drive in to return the bag. Maybe it was just my bag, but I have never had such a bad experience with charcoal. (I have shooped the store from time to time for maybe twenty years. The store is good.

Found that Butcher Shop was running a meat sale and that was a plus. One really needs to watch the sales as prices do tend to be higher than other large chain grocery outlets. I find that Hy-Vee stores give you a more customer service, more quality over quantity approach to shopping. Less isn’t always the best.
