Delicious avocado toast and the lady that ring me up was super nice and accommodating! Great customer service and food!

Visited on a busy Saturday morning and met the sweetest worker. She made my morning/day and was truly a breath of fresh air in todays environment of overworked/frustrated workers who don’t genuinely connect with their customers. Such a beautiful soul who deserves a kudos. To the Asian-American woman working the counter today - thank you from all of the travelers that you chatted with. You make a difference every time you touch a customers day with your kindness.

I was there Sunday at 1:25pm. Ordered 2 sandwiches. I caught food poisoning from the ABC club. Not sure why I decided to video all the food safety practices being done incorrectly and still eat my sandwich. Shame on me I should’ve thrown it away. What I did observe though that I have reported to the Minnesota Department of health is employees eating food with their gloves on touching peoples food not washing their hands or changing gloves, touching raw chicken then touching American cheese again not washing hands or changing gloves facemask being worn at the chin what’s the point of even wearing them. It also seem that they were too busy talking to each other and customers were the last thing that they cared about. I hardly ever eat at the airport and I probably won’t ever again!

Very poor experience, particularly for an airport establishment. Dirty tables. Very slow service. I ordered a dip platter because I thought it would be fast but waited for over half an hour with no acknowledgement from the waitress. Could benefit from an additional server in the offshoot section.

Jorge and Heidi kept us entertained after an excruciating flight delay. We appreciate the hospitality - feels like a hometown corner bar in Minneapolis. ❤️

We bought a sandwich that was barely above gas station quality and burnt to a black char on the bottom and went to sit across from the main restaurant in the minibar section, but a manager rudely kicked us out saying it was because of a "change in management". We would have relaxed and had a drink there, but instead I felt tossed aside like the person didn't care about us, their job, new management, or anything. I won't come back, and I guess now I won't be having a drink there.

I always stop here when flying through Terminal 2 but today was a really wierd experience. I was the only customer at the time and ordered a gluten free grilled cheese and potato salad. The staff didn't realize my order went in and didn't understand what gluten free was so it took 30 min for my lunch. I was getting concerned that my meal would not arrive before my boarding time so I inquired about it and was told that the cook did not understand how to make gluten free, I was about to cancel the order but decided to give it another minute or so. When the server placed my plate in front of me she knocked over my drink and it splashed on me and all over my seat. She apologized, I understand things happen. I asked while paying for my check if she could comp a dessert for the wait, etc and she got really upset and asked why because they couldn't figure out the bread? No, because I waited 30 min for a sandwich and had my drink spilled on me. It would be just a nice courtesy to do this, not asking for a lot. Since she was upset about me asking, I said nevermind on the dessert. For the first time I did not tip since she acted so rudely. Happy to pay my bill, happy to reward good service. This was not that, sadly.

Sunday morning at Surdyk's Terminal 2 at Minneapolis airport. I ordered a breakfast meal that had a poached egg and avocado toast. The vibe of the place was they were busy chatting with each other and the customers were a second thought. This is okay with me as long as they chat but still move efficiently for traveling customers, but not the case this morning. The cook (the only person at the time who was paying attention to the front and that I was waiting for my food) got the person to move to back to the register to give me my order. It got worse. My food was in a too big of a box and so the food was scattered inside the box. Both the look and the smell were unappetizing and to top it off the avocado was old/turning brown (see bottom right of picture). I threw it away and went elsewhere. No time to complain and too many problems to explain to them. IMO this is an example of poor training and management.

For airport dining, I give this place two thumbs up! Our server was adorable and had great wine recommendations as we were indecisive as to the white wine we wanted. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals and even ended up buying some extra wine at their wine store. If you need to decompress while traveling, give this place a try!
