Had good food but the service was another thing. We placed a food order that was never given to the kitchen. After everyone that was seated after us had food we asked about ours and saw some nervous scrambling. I gave them 3 stars because to make it right the food was compted. So looks like we had one bad wait staff. On a return visit the food was again good and the owner came to my table and apologized for my previous experience and thanked me for coming back.Hannah was fabulous! For the I am upping my ratings. Thanks Rob. Rob that would cost me for the call!

5 star freakin great food! Sorry, but am so very impressed. We started out with the walleye fingers, which were really tasty. But then the most amazing burger called Bourbon blue burger arrived and it was game over. So tasty it is hard to describe. But wait there's more... The loaded tots sounds like something you might get an a greasy joint, but these things were amazing and tasty and the sauce they have to dip them in head just the right amount of heat and flavor. By the way... Yep had to try the chili to and that's outstanding as well. Just go here and do yourself a favor :-)

Good prices , had lunch there did not receive correct oder , never got my drink refilled and burger was on the cold side. Staff seemed pre occupied with the bar. We where in on a Monday around 1 pm.

A great place to relax especially after being on the lake., friendly people, awesome food, these employees run their butts off!!, short staffed as everywhere. Tip them well !

Faster service than a bad toupee in a hurricane. Mushroom Swiss burger was amazing, char-broiled, perfectly cooked. Every bit had juicy grease running off your chin. This is a must stop in if you haven't. Great job guys.

We had really good burgers at this little bar in Wahkon. I tried the most normal burger with the bacon cheddar, my husband had the sweet and spicy and my son had the one with peanut butter. We all enjoyed our selections and thought the fries were fresh and crispy and the drinks were good and cold. Everything hit the spot and we will definitely stop again when staying at Father Hennepin!

I'm very disappointed. we waited a ridiculously long time to try to order food, and never got acknowledged by any of the staff. The first table we sat at was dirty. They did have a better selection of tap beers but again we weren't acknowledged even place our orders.

Very good food and sat outside in a screened porch. Had a cajun blue burger and it was done perfectly (as I requested - medium well) and very flavorful.

Came here with family and friends for a late lunch/ early dinner. The atmosphere is homey and inviting. For beverages, my friend and I ordered a local beer, I think it was called The Twins. Very good. My aunt had one of their "Famous" Bloody Marys, which came with a beer chaser(!) For our entrees, my friend and I opted for the walleye sandwich. I got mine with a side salad with ranch, while he tried their chili, which he said was kind of sweet and not spicy at all. The fish was light and flakey and the bread was pleasantly lightly toasted. My aunt had the "walleye fingers" and my cousin thoroughly enjoyed his Bleu Burger. Our waitress was great, wish I'd caught her name.

Walleye sandwich was good, liked the pickled cabbage on it. FF were ok. The burger was asked to be medium rare, it was well done. Please start to toast or grill the hamburger buns, it can make or break the burger.
