Bought six fish from here in total, on two different occasions. First two are completely fine but they’re schooling fish so I decided to get more. At the store, they had put these nice yellow fish in there with the bleeding heart tetras I have now so I take four. A few days later my bleeding hearts and a snail die. A day after that the rest do. I try to call the store and nobody picks up so I have no answers. Never shopping here again. Also, they tested my water themselves and said there was nothing wrong with it before I bought the first fish.

This is an older store and is a bit confusing to find stuff - there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the aisles - but they always have what we need! The staff is friendly and helpful and we always leave happy!

I really like this place, it's super spendy to me but it all is worth it in the end... Better food better products for your pets and bulk buy is always great when needing to stock up. I only gave three stars because I really wanted to hold a ferret they had there and was not planning to buy him but who knows when you get a moment to see if you click or not there may have been a possibility I would have bought him. However they wouldn't let me hold him because I wasn't sure if I was going to spend 380 on a ferret that may or may not click with me. I can't gamble with that much money and a fur babies future on the line not knowing if we would click. I understand COVID and viruses but they lost a possible sale today from me. :(

I wish I could do zero stars. I don’t have a google account and my name is Emily. My experience was horrific. Needed salt water crabs and they wouldn’t sell them to me because I had an ammonia issue in one of my tanks. Little do they know, I have five salt water fish tanks and they assumed I had issues with the tank that I was putting the crabs in. Didn’t even ask me. I called the day before to reserve the crabs because I live almost two hours north of Waite Park and had friends coming through. Heidi and Kevin are absolutely horrific employees. Kevin is a manager that helped me with nothing.

I can always find what I need here at Petco. My dog eats a special food and I know Petco carries it. Although this time they did not have it. These days no matter where you go there's a good chance you're not going to find what you're looking for. Thank you covid

This store sold me the incorrect tarantula. They had a pinktoe labeled as as a greenbottle blue. I paid $50 more for her than the pinktoe they had labeled. I went to the store the following day after purchase and told them what they had done, and that I would like a refund or store credit for how much I overpaid, as since my spider was actually a pinktoe, I only should’ve paid $100 dollars, not $150. The manager didn’t even come out of his office to see me, he told the cashier to tell me that they were not responsible for the spider being mislabeled, that they would give me no credit despite the fact that I now have to buy all different supplies and a new tank and rehome her. They said essentially that they do not check their animals when they come in from vendors and sell them as listed. I called corporate after, corporate told me that they could do nothing as it was an in store purchase. The woman I spoke to called the general manager and he told her he had resolved the issue with me. This store bait and switched me, put my tarantula’s life at risk and is costing me extra money to build a whole new enclosure for her. Do not buy from them. They are sick, and clearly have zero care for the lives of exotic pets, or the time and money owners put into them. Do not sell exotic pets if you have no idea how to identify them before sale.
