I love this shoe store! I'm a repeat costumer over the years. I've bought 3 pairs of boots and a pair of sneakers from them. If they don't have the size you need they do everything they can do to try and get them in. It's close to home and they give you their full attention while you are there. It's definitely NOT a big box store. For years I was buying the wrong size shoe until I came here the owner himself sized me that first time I went to get a pair of work boots.

Son went in for steel toe work boots...walked out with a pair of Red Wings. They had his size (in a wide) and really understood his fit. Big inventory, knowledgeable staff.

Love Hayes! Friendly staff. I love going during their "Buy 1, get one for .99 cents" sale. Great local business. Worth stopping in, as they have many of the same brands as the department stores. If you have a return, they are extremely accommodating.

I've dealt with this store for years. The owner is one of the last true professionals in his field. He stays in business by selling good quality but as he is a smaller store he can keep the prices lower than the big stores. Wether you have questions about work boots or you are dealing with plantar fasciitis, he can help. He won't always tell you what you want to hear, but that's only because he'll always tell you the truth.

Due to an error in packing on my part, and an hour and half in a muddy auto parts yard I needed shoes NOW. Google steered me to Hayes Family Shoe Store. Walked in, was met with a cheerful hello and can I help you? Said we needed shoes. Got a laugh and I think we can help with that. Lucked into a buy one pair, get another for 99¢ sale! Perfect! After a few minutes and plenty of help finding a pair for each of us we were on our way. So much better than a Walmart or box store experience!!!
