I want to start by saying this is the most disrespectful vet clinic I’ve ever been to. I brought my chihuahua in because he had been hurt rather badly around 2pm on 7/25, I thought maybe it had been caused by him trying to go under my fence in the back yard. It turned out he had been attacked by a hawk, I brought him into Animal health center at 9:15am (soonest they could get me in) on 7/26 the vet who saw my dog insinuated I was lying about the age of the wound and said “this looks like it’s 2-3 days old” which I then stated it’s not and that it had just happened yesterday. Also stating I had pictures I had taken of him at 8am that were time stamped and pictures of the incident which was the same day. After seeing the vet they kept him for surgery, when I came back to get my dog after he was done in surgery one of the desk ladies said “oh we had to put a tube in him since the wound was so old” instead of them actually listening to my concerns about my dog they wanted to insinuate I was neglecting my dog. I will absolutely never return here and I’ve already scheduled a follow up and tube removal at HIS vet. This place deserves a zero star for the utter disrespect towards people

If I could give it a 0 star, I would. Dr. Reid was completely hateful to us when we went to put our dog to sleep. No compassion was shown because we didn’t take an alternate route to his liking. Had quite a few snarky comments as we were grieving the loss of our pet. The vet techs were kind, just not Reid.

Every time my dogs needs a vet, I can't get in. So I drive a hour away because Dr. Reed always gets my dog in and has so far save my dog's life 3 times . DR. Reed is the best veterinarian around. And he doesn't charge you and arm and a leg to treat my dog. Dr. Reed has been in Springfield doing veterinary services for over 40 years and is very experienced at his job. And his staff is so nice and helpful. The office is clean and roomy. If you need a veterinarian you really need to pay them a visit.

Our little shih tzu developed pretty bad glaucoma in her left eye. So we brought her to the Animal Health Center Hospital & Clinic. The Doc tested the pressure in her eyes and let us know right then and there that the eye would need to be removed. I was weary about the whole thing, but new that our little jamie was not moving around like she used to. She was just laying around in a lethargic state, lost interest in everything. She just wasn't doing anything anymore. We also did not want her to be in pain. So ultimately, we decided to have the Doc do the surgery. Today our dog is back to her normal self. I was shocked, she's back to running in the backyard and paying attention to everything going on. She is doing 100% better than she was with the glaucoma in her eye. It is amazing. She is back to her old self with just one eye. The eye also looks incredible they did an amazing job with the surgery and keeping in touch with everything going on. It's healing really well and it's one of the best decisions we have made with our puppy. I can't emphasize how much this surgery helped and what an amazing job the Doc did with it all. I believe we paid 450.00, but not 100% sure. I will post pictures on Saturday as she is finally able to be groomed. I can't recommend this clinic and doc and staff enough. They are great at their job. I did not have to pay a thousand or even a couple of thousand to have my dog's surgery.

VERY highly recommend!! Would give 10 stars if I could. The vet I have always used for my 15 year old female cat told me I needed to put her down because of her age, wouldn't even let me tell them what the problem was. THIS vet and office staff was so friendly, professional, and wanting to find out what was going on they did a complete bloodwork on her and found out overall she's in good health just liver numbers a bit off. The vet even took time to go over all the test results and answer all my questions without making me feel rushed or stupid. Gave me some supplements for her and she is doing great!!! It's wonderful to know a vet that cares enough to find out what the problem is and treat it instead of thinking they've lived long enough and need to die regardless of overall health. I will definitely bring my fur babies to this vet for the rest of their lives.

Our young male cat became very sick suddenly. He was diagnosed with Feline leukemia and he was barely holding on to life. It was so so sad to see our baby like that. Everything you read and every other vet you talk to will tell you that it’s an incurable disease and they just wait for your fur baby to pass or euthanize them. Dr. Reid told us he had a treatment though, so we gave it a shot. Our baby boy is so much better now! He took a cat that probably had 2 days left to live max. And he saved him from a Disease that EVERY other vet said there was no treatment for. My family will never use another vet. Dr Reid is literally a miracle worker! And his assistants are the nicest girls on the planet. I can promise, you won’t find a vet of his compassion and knowledge!

I had been seeing this vet for about 3/4 years with my cat Hitch. I had to make the decision to put my cat down because I was having surgery on my hip and couldn't take care of him and he had also developed behavior issues. The day of euthanasia was such a mess its still hard to talk about. They shave his neck to administer the first shot, that's when it all went south. They didn't wait for the shot to take effect instead giving him a second shot...after it was all said & done they gave my baby 5 shots. I have never witnessed such inhumane treatment from a vet in all my life and I've had lots of cats. Truly this man should not be licensed to be a veterinarian.

I was scared that my dog had dislocated his hip which can be an emergency and needs to be treated right away. It was today, the day after Thanksgiving and my regular vet was closed along with many others. The ones I called that were open were totally booked and couldn't see him. I was getting very stressed and worried when I finally called Animal Health Center and Dr. Reid himself answered the phone. They were closed too, but he said to bring him right in! As it turns out it is only a muscle strain and his hip is not dislocated. I am so grateful to and appreciative of Dr. Reid for seeing him today. After a through exam, x-rays and a laser treatment, my dog and I are both feeling so much better now! I highly recommend. 😊

Our dog ran into a sharp corner of our boat trailer and absolutely ripped open her shoulder. It was the evening and they still took her in. They sewed her up, kept her over night, and she healed famously with the drainage tube and other orders we were given. Dr. Reid and his team were so kind and helped us avoid an insane bill from an emergency vet clinic. They talked us through every part of the services we would receive and verified prices before anything was done. So professional and very personal service. Highly recommend!!!

My family has used Dr Reid for almost 30 years and we wouldn’t trust our animals with anyone else. Phoenix, my 15 year old Manx cat, became very very ill one weekend. We took him to the emergency vet and yes they did a great job but he was still pretty bad. On a Sunday I called dr Reid and even though his office was closed, he saw him as an emergency. He gave him immediate treatment and even called the next morning to check up on him. He had us bring him in for the next 3 days for checkups and never charged a penny except for his medicine. A week later and he is doing amazing. If not for Dr Reid and his love for animals, my cat would be dead right now. Words cannot express how grateful I will always be to Dr Reid and all his staff for saving my little boy
