Nice liquor store. Had local cider as well as my favorite Angry Orchard. The people working there were helpful.

Rommel's carries NE IPAs from a couple great NY Breweries (which are way better than anything in Jersey...sorry). They're also very nice and helpful. Perfect!

Great spot in the heart of Beach Haven to grab the provisions you need. They have a nice selection and have been able to help me with a couple special orders.

Horrible freaking store! The owner is a major league A hole. Unfortunatley I had the same issue as Marissa. I am 23 and short so people often think I'm younger than I look. Went in for a 6 pack of beer and the guy asks me for my id. Then before even scanning or putting it in their little machine he's like "this is fake". Threatened to call the cops if I didn't "get out of the store" multiple times when I was doing nothing. Probably so he could add my REAL id to his little trophy collection. Waited there for an hour to get my id back. I can say that I will NEVER be back! Just lost a valued customer. No wonder they have no customers!!!

Would have given this place a one star if it wasn't for its hardworking helpful employees. It cannot compete with the liquor store, Gary's, across the street, so I only frequent when Gary's is closed or if it is empty while Gary's is packed. It is way more expensive than its competitor as well. The owner is rather a A-hole, and has made rude and uncalled for comments to me more than once. Additionally, they carry a third of the stock of Gary's. Basically, I go there only when desperate.

Bill is super friendly and an incredibly helpful guy! In town visiting with a cyclist friend and we were to ride the island - Bill gave us good tips and was a great guy to talk to. They really care about their customers!

I went in here during fourth of july weekend to get a few things for a BBQ. At checkout, the cashier examined my ID and then gave it to the owner to double check. AFTER that, they still werent sure if it was real (it was an NJ ID). So then, the owner tells me he is going to get the police come to confirm the ID. I had just turned 21 in May, and was pretty shook by this entire experience but remained calm the entire time. He said the police would be there in 90 seconds but it took at least 5 minutes. When they finally arrived, the police raised their voice to me demanding me to tell them if it was fake. When they finally had confirmed the ID was real, i was shaking and tearing up nervously. I have never been treated like this in a liquor store. Its safe to say I will not be going back, and am pretty upset about my experience. Although I understand the process of checking if an ID is real or fake, I should not have started to cry and was treated extremely poorly. I wish I didnt have to give them even 1 star to write this review. 0 stars for me
