Be sure to bring a trusted mechanic with you while shopping here. I was sold a vehicle with frame damage that I missed during my inspection. It hasn't even been a year of ownership and the car has been in the shop about 10 times. Luckily Subaru has great customer service and has been very helpful with the repairs. As for the sales aspect, it was very underwhelming and ended up having to do the registration on my own (and pay out of pocket) at a local tag shop even though I had paid the fee for it within the contract. I was also told multiple times by my salesperson to "remind him" of things I was asking for during the sales process. This alone should've been enough red flags for me to just walk out. Also, if you're financing a vehicle, don't even think about financing it with them. They hit me with a 7.7% interest rate. I went to a local credit union a few months later was given a 2.49% rate. I certainly take some of the blame for not being as prepared as I should have been while shopping for a used car but do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

Frustrating experience with Hamilton Mazda last week. I called at 11:30am and made an appointment for a CX-5 Preferred, which they had 2 in stock. I was planning on buying that day. Fast forward to my appointment time 3 hours later, and both were gone. The salesman had texted while I was driving (less than a half hour before my appoint) to let me know the were gone, but I didn't get the text until I stopped driving when I arrived at the dealership. Of course he mentioned they have the higher trim in stock, but that wasn't in my budget. Perhaps if he would have called instead, I would have wasted a 45 minute trip there (then 45 min back) and time off work. Be better Hamilton Mazda.

I've been bringing my Mazda to this dealership for the oil changes because they offer the best deal locally for it. I'm used to dealers trying to upsell me on things I don't need, and I usually ignore them. However, today, this dealership just crossed the line. They told me that my engine's belts were, and I quote, "badly cracked", and that I needed to pay several hundred dollars to get them fixed immediately, or my engine would tear itself apart. Given that this was the same dealership who tried to tell me that I should pay several hundred for some engine cleaning when my car was literally six months old, I did NOT take them at their word, and I brought my car to a mechanic I trust. My mechanic took a look at the belt and showed it to me. There is NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. In this economy, they tried to trick me into dropping hundreds and hundreds of dollars on something I didn't need replaced, and tried to make me anxious about destroying my car. That was evil, and I hope they sleep poorly at night. They've permanently lost a customer in me.

Marlon was our salesperson and we couldn't be happier. The entire process was enjoyable and quick. I highly recommend Hamilton Mazda if you want to save some money in this market and be sure to ask for Marlon. We were looking for a CX-5 and went to Open Road Mazda first to look and test drive the CX-5. Open Road was charging a 3k upcharge on top of MSRP. So a 35k vehicle will cost you 43k at Open Road. I get that this car market is crazy but that's a big markup. We began looking elsewhere. We found the exact CX-5 my wife wanted on Hamilton Mazda's website and submitted our info. I got a call from Marlon the following morning. He was extremely friendly and gave me a price immediately. I was shocked they were charging a reasonable amount. Their offer would be under 40k and would save me a few thousand compared to Open Road Mazda. We setup a time to meet that same day and Marlon began all the prep work. Marlon was extremely communicative and keep me informed. He told me exactly what to expect and asked to send him all the info I need ahead of time before we meet to pickup the car. He even saved us $500 with a rebate for being loyal Mazda customer. When we arrived Marlon had everything ready to go. The entire process didn't take long at all and we purchased a new CX-5 in less than 2 hours. You could tell Marlon really cared and isn't fishing for a sale. There was no pressure and he was extremely knowledgeable about the cars they are selling. He didn't kick us out after the sale was finalized and went through everything making sure we had no additional questions about the car. He also made sure we were comfortable using the Mazda app for remote start and went through some additional features we may not have known about. Hopefully this story can save you some money like it did for my wife and I. They also let you test drive the CX-50 here which you can't do at Open Road without a deposit. Save yourself time and money, go to Hamilton Mazda and ask for Marlon. You won't be disappointed.

Mike Wills was our salesperson and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. We visited over eight different dealerships (including Mazda, Toyota, Honda, and VW). We had just moved from NYC to NJ and we weren't married to any particular car brand, but more focused on a quality car within our budget. Ultimately we chose Mazda because for us it provided a higher quality product. Once we decided to purchase a Mazda we visited three different Mazda dealerships. In all honesty, Hamilton Mazda was not the least expensive offer, but for us, the difference was Mike W. We loved that he knew the right balance to engage with us. He gave us the space we needed to make an informed decision but was always available to answer our never-ending questions. The decision to purchase at Hamilton Mazda was simply because of how Mike W treated us and our observation of how he treated all of his customers. Thank you, Mike, for the stress-free experience. And to Alex in finance for being thorough and friendly.

Excellent, prompt, compassionate and flexible service center staff, all were dog lovers. After cleaning out my father's home in NYC (due to his passing) and beginning my trek home to Florida, my battery died. They got me back on the road, with no appointment, in under 1 hr. Compassion and profesionalism go a long way when you are healing from loss and grief... Thank you.

Honest, fair and professional dealership and staff. We walked in with our family on a weekend, test drove car of our choice. Jeff Sebor was excellent start to finish- went above and beyond to locate the vehicle of our choice, ensured paperwork was completed and vehicle delivered on time as promised. Strongly recommend!!

We came on a random weeknight and Jeff accommodated us. It was a fair enough deal for a brand new car. He answered all of our questions afterwards too. Time will tell how service is. Mazda usually makes a good car. Actually surprised by how many safety features are in even a basic model.

Service department totally tried to take advantage of me. Needed to get my fuel gage to work so I could get the engine light to go off so I could pass NJ state inspection. Was between a rock and a hard place. Told me I needed a new fuel tank and pump and sending unit at a cost of $3,600 because the baffle was bent. Plus other stuff - total service bill they said I needed was $10k. On a 2012 that was running just fine. Can't even tell you how many questions I asked and how many stories Benito spun. Claimed the current fuel pump was an after market part, a local shop couldn't diagnose like they could, likened the fuel pump to a vacuum cleaner that was clogged, stressed how important it was to actually diagnose what is causing the problem and not to just throw parts at it hoping it would fix it. I asked, very directly, couldn't it be the the wiring or something wrong between the sending unit and the gauge on the dash? Nope, they said. Positively not. Fortunately I didn't fall for their shenanigans though I cam close. Took it to a local shop. The problem? Two wires had been chewed through. Granted that shop had first thought the problem was the sending unit and had that replaced - but they didn't tell me it was the actual (undamaged) fuel tank at thousands of dollars causing the issue.

The car they let me test drive was dirty and was set to kmph, I was basically handed the keys and set on my way. The sales rep., Jeff, treated me like a waste of time because he assumed I was a college student even though I have a degree a very profitable career (I’m 34 by the way), his words not mine. Also he was completely unorganized and looked like he was ready to go hunting rather than go to work. He then tells me they won’t accept outside financing though I was pre-approved and was ready to put down a large down payment. Furthermore, he makes a snide remark as I leave. Long story short I then went to their competitor, that acted like professionals, and used their financing to purchase the same car. Since my credit is 12 points from perfect I got a .9% APR. If Jeff were my employee I would fire him. Buyer beware, if you wanna be judged and treated poorly this is the place to go, if not stay as far away as possible, there are many better options. Not my first car purchase but the first time I’ve wanted to literally run out of the dealership 10 minutes after sitting down. (Jeff is an overweight gentleman with an unwieldy beard, so you can stay clear)
